Wouldn’t be quite over paying it would be per scale. Daks 40 in a much higher cap would be equivalent to 28-30 in the current one. He would actually get paid what he’s worth.

What would be worrisome is if Daks demands increase with the cap, i.e. if he asked for 50M+ because of the increase in cap room. Then he’d just be going for a percentage of the cap rather than a number
percentage of the cap is the key, teams should set a limit on % of cap for each position .
Teams that have won SB's the qb is 12 % or less.
For 2020 if cap is 200 mil dak should be paid 24 mil, that is about 12%, correct me if I am wrong
math is not my forte.
15% would be about 30 mill
17.5% would be about 35 mil
These numbers suggest dak is asking for too much, and so are other qb's.
R. Wilson got paid too much also so according to this they wont be going anytime soon.
and they havent got close since they paid wilson too high of a %.
Rams probably went too high also and they didnt even make playoffs.
Will be interesting to see what happens to KC when mahomes is overpaid too.
