Traditional X WR cut, inline Y is retiring, the Z is out with a broken foot and probably will never play again for the Star.

Dak friendly is the new buzz word from the Cowboys FO brass.

The current WR corp can line up at any spot. Double slot spread formations? More speed on the field? This offense is going to be very different.

Ironic that Dez questioned the scheme and he was cut and the coaching staff indeed decided to go a different route with the offense.

Dez struggled with route running, couldn't be used in motion or in the slot, and complained a lot.

Can't imagine why they dumped him while changing schemes. ;)

Maybe Dez wasnt cut so much for questioning the scheme, but the limitations he placed upon the scheme. If he had trouble knowing where to line up in his current role, he may not have been ready for a more diverse role.

The top 2 targets for the better part of the past decade are now gone. I think they know what they want to try but I don't think they know who or how they are going to deploy.

He questioned the scheme, because the scheme sucked! No adjustments and poor play calling.

Or maybe Dez knew he wasn't good enough to succeed in the new scheme. Maybe he knew it would require learning more than what he was used to, like learning a whole route tree.

Stop it. This route tree nonsense.
Stop acting like learning 9 routes is so hard for any player.
It’s one thing to say he doesn’t have the suddenness to execute some routes successfully but stop this narrative that any NFL is so lazy or stupid they can’t learn the routes.

I feel we will run a more Brady style of offense, just without Brady and Gronk

Or maybe he wasnt coached up or held accountable to learn a route tree.

The Cowboys have now added 4 WRs and Tavon Austin. Dez is gone, and he probably won't be the only one.

Change is happening.

You think that is the reason Dez got cut?

It’s probably the most glaring reason. You don’t cross that line and expect no consequences.

I guarantee to you if Dez was still here the OTA, Mini-Camp, and TC storyline would be about Dez and the scheme.
