Jon Gruden: People are geared up to stop Adrian Peterson, that is one of the reasons why Brett Favre has had the season he has. I think they are going to ride Brett Favre's arm. I don't think the Vikings knock people off the ball like they have done in the pass.

Schlereth: The Cowboys Defense is hot. I think they will put extra guys in the box. However, Wade Phillips has done a wonderful job. They have a great ability to rush the passer. This is a phenomenal front 7. Their defense forces your hand and puts you in bad situations. Remember, the Vikings didn't finish strong, especially up front. Bryant McKinnie looked like he had old dead legs towards the end of the Season. If McKinnie is not ready, he will have problems.

Golic: When Adrian Peterson has been stopped, Minnesota has made up for it with Brett Favre. They may need that again because he and that Offensive Line have struggled. We talk about the skill posisitions but this is an unsexy game. This game will not be a track meet. There is going to be some hitting by both teams.

Schlereth: The Cowboys do a lot of draws. They do a great job in the draw. That is one the things you take advantage of. Dallas can attack Jared Allen with the draw. I am drinking the koolaid, I buy into the Dallas Cowboys.

I doubt very seriously Dallas' strategy is to put an extra guy in the box. Dallas stops the run with the front 7.

Dallas may end up committing Hamlin to stop the run, but they'll have to have some success and force Wade's hand for that to happen.

While the above is true, Dllas hasn't faced a back Like Peterson, yet. The only guy that we've really come up against that has the ability to really turn nothing into something is Reggie Bush and he didn't even play the whole game.

Yes, we faced Carolina, but that team was in such a funk that NOTHING was working for them when we met them (or for several weeks after), certainly not their running game.

This will be the fist time we'll have a chance to face a back, on a team that's playing well, that has the break out ability of our own Felix Jones.

Should be a very interesting game. The matchups alone are worth the price of admission.

:welcome: to the bandwagon.

Add Jerome Bettis to the list.

He was just on Mike and Mike and said he likes the Dallas Cowboys as well.

All this Kool-Aid cannot be a good thing. Remember the '07 Pats? :laugh2:

and Peterson has not faced a defense like ours in a while--he looked fairly ordinary (or underused) at times

Gruden also had an extended interview on Mike and Mike (their Subway segment) where he said the strength of the Cowboys is their quarterback play, (something else, tho I want to say RB corps), and their oustanding defense.

Dallas hasn't committed any safety help for run support all season and I'm sure they'll continue with that approach Sunday....

Allen was notorious for overrunning plays in his eagerness to get the QB while playing here in KC. Not much has changed and we should be able to exploit that with our bubble screens and delayed draws.

I'm calling an ambulance to take me to the ER as I'm currently in full cardiac arrest...

If the Minny O-line was having dead legs, wouldn't the week off help that? I'm confident and I know it doesn't matter, but all this media love bothers me.

If the Bears found a way to put up over 30 in their last game...I'd like to think we can also......

I think Farve under pressure will put it up for grabs, and AP will give up one also...

Vikes will score points .........It will come down to turnover differential and points scored off of turnovers.

edt...Vikes will score some points....turnovers will be the diff

Cowboys 30-23

Honestly I would be a bit disappointed in the defense if they gave up 23 points. I think the defensive players would be very upset if they gave up 23 points in this game.

It's not surprising they're all jumping on the hot hand right now. That's what ESPN and media folks seem to do all the time.

Our team just needs to ignore that and remember the media is just sitting there waiting to talk about how Dallas failed and to tear them down some more.

Don't give them the chance Boys. Continue on through and win this whole thing.

If you have a set of eyes it is not that hard to see how dominate Dallas has been playing. Heck with our own bias towards the Cowboys but looking at how Dallas has been winning it should impress most in the media. These have not been close games and 3 of the last 4 vs high powered offense that Dallas has really shut down.

The experts are all throwing around keys to the game, but I believe this is it.

Not only, has Dallas stopped the run all season with 7 and not faced a RB like Peterson, Peterson has not faced a 7 man front. That is the key to the game in my opinion. If Dallas can stop the run with 7, they have a chance to win. Otherwise, Peterson runs away with the game, they put an extra man up front to stop him, then Favre picks apart the D with the pass and it's a blow out.

Stopping the run with 7 gives a chance to win unless MN beats themselves with TO's and penalties.

Dallas could lose the game that could happen however I don't see them blowing Dallas out. No team has blown Dallas out and the Vikes as good as they are will not blow us out.

Dallas likes to stop the run early by cheating up an 8th guy, not necessarily Hamlin which is why they get away with it, then they play pass defense and rush you once you are scared to run.

That's why Reid was such a bad match up against Wade. Wade stopped Reid's early few run attempts then he just gave up on the run altogether. Minny won't do that but Favre might well try to pass more and push the envelope in the passing game.

Best case scenario for Dallas is you stop the run early, force a AP fumble, Favre gets impatient and you pick him a couple times.

Now we could say the same about our team. Stop our run, force Romo to feel he has to win the game with miraculous plays and pick him off.

And the offense needs to continue to score early.
