Going back to the basics should mean that the line go back to executing basic assignments 1st.

I just watched a video with Schlereth asking what identity the Cowboys are going to be, "are you going to be a smash mouth team, or are you going to fling the ball around and be enamored with your talent?" I really hate this talk as if we never run the ball. The Saints "flung" the ball around last year, and only rushed for three more yards for the season. The Colts were 32nd in rushing offense, and the Chargers were 31st in rushing offense last year.

Judging by the preseason performances, the OL isn't very good at basics. Let's not go back to them.
