Schoonmaker in concussion protocol

Poonmaker can't stay on the field. Cut bait already. We have better options.

Of course he is.

He's preparing for the traditional role he will be playing this season.

.....2nd round draft pick TE that constantly disappoints and consistently picks up nagging injuries.

He'll be joining elite icons such as Anthony Fasano and Gavin Escobar.
Fasano averaged 11.0 yds per catch in his career and lasted 12 years.
So actually he was if you look at his whole career not a bad 2nd rd pick
certainly not a bust

Not bad for who?

Fasano averaged 14 receptions per season with the Cowboys. He also missed games as a result of concussions.

During the two seasons he was with the Cowboys, he had a total of 28 receptions and averaged 9.6 yards. He was targeted 45 times

That's not the results you expect from a 2nd round pick

His high point was 2012 in Miami with 41 receptions. It was Tannehill's rookie season so he dunked a lot off to his TEs. That is why Fasano only averaged 8.1 yards per reception that season.

Meh. Dude has been meh anyways. I like Princeston Fant more than him. Kind of a waste of yet another second rounder.

he did not do a lot for us but then again look who was here.

some like to leave facts like that out

He played in over 150 games in his career of 12 years

a very respectable career. A second rd pick should do more but he was far from a bust

I didn't call him a bust. I called him a disappointment.

I know who was here and that definitely should be factored in.

However,

Guys like Blake Jarwin and Geoffrey Swaim were getting receptions in their high 20's during a season where Witten had over a thousand yards in receiving. That was a 3rd day draft pick and an undrafted rookie free agent.

The 2023 draft was and is a draft that continues to pay dividends. even if those dividends are crappy ones
