Schottenheimer hire is growing on me

It was MM’s offense. Shotty only ran the plays MM wanted to run. MM was the play caller. SMDH.
Mm certainly called the plays, I’ll give you that. You’re telling me though that for the last two years Brian Schottenheimer didn’t have a hand in play design? He didn’t lay the foundation for game prep each week? He didn’t lead the installs every week? Didn’t help script the opening plays? Break down the opposing defenses tendencies and create the audible and kill call situations? He didn’t coach the position coaches?

I fully understand that MM plays a huge piece here, but to act like he threw his playbook on schottenheimers desk and that was that significantly undermines the job schotty has done the last couple years, which really if you go back and break it down has been pretty good work.

There are 31 other teams in the league that would love to have their own Brian Schottenheimer.

I respect your opinion. I just disagree with it. Go Cowboys!

He's probably better than Campo but that's not saying much. Regardless, DAL will be average or worse.

I’ve been pretty lukewarm on everything Cowboys since they have decided to back up the Brinks truck for Dak. Can’t remember being this negative about the Cowboys ever. But the more that I look at the Schotty hire, the more I wonder if he might have actually been a really solid hire.

Dak sucks. Actually Dak sucks really bad. But if Schotty builds a running attack like his dad did, then Dak can pretty much just hand off the ball, looks stupid, collect his checks, smoke cigarettes on the sidelines and talk about all the wins in which he wasn’t really a factor.

I like what direction we're going with Schotty as well.

We all know Dak isn't elite, but he's serviceable for us until we can get better.

With that said, maybe you can help me out and answer these questions. For some reason, all the people who says Dak is a bum and he suck, never could answer these questions.

1. How does a quarterback who "really suck" as you've stated, be a perennial top 10 quarterback their whole career, become an All-Pro and MVP candidate like Dak did?

2. What other quarterbacks in NFL history have been a perennial top 10 quarterback, became an All-Pro and MVP candidate? What are their names???

Again.... for some reason, all those people who call Dak a bum and says he suck ALWAYS run from these two simple questions. I wonder why..... maybe you can answer these simple questions.
