coog- you cranky this morning sir?Who cares
Yes there is.There's nothing more dangerous than an 84 year old billionaire in win now mode.
Dying![]()
If ya know ....... ya know
Yeah they messed up my coffee order, don't tell @DallasEast thiscoog- you cranky this morning sir?
LOL and that’s what we did LOST!LOL.
This guy wasnt even in win now mode last Sunday with 14 seconds left.
Get lost.
I don't think anyone really believes Jerry has fundamentally changed to the point he is going to morph into a legitimate well respected GM and build a real contender with staying power.Yes there is.
A fan base who believes the 84 year old has decided to finally change after 30 years of him proving the opposite.
I think he will continue to try and win his way.I don't think anyone really believes Jerry has fundamentally changed to the point he is going to morph into a legitimate well respected GM and build a real contender with staying power.
It does seem obvious though that he has changed from hang around the rim mode to win before I die mode.
The end result will be the same regardless of which mode he is in so it doesn't really matter.
Any man is going to start seeing some things a bit differently when he truly gets a whiff of the Reaper's breath. Jerry is a narcissist whose identity is directly tied to being the head football man of the Dallas Cowboys. You can bet your bottom dollar he doesn't want to go out with the legacy of football futility he currently carries.
Pure speculation but I think the changes in his team building style the last two seasons, are possibly the result of him knowing something about his health that we don't.
At some point it really does become now or never. Even for narcissistic billionaires.
Yeah they messed up my coffee order, don't tell @DallasEast this
28 fanbases hate their head coach every year.Jerry is in win now mode with coaches in training? Yeah, OK.
I get it man. He'll NEVER change that much because it is perception and identity that drives him. It's going to be his way or the highway to the bitter end.I think he will continue to try and win his way.
Or he would have hired a GM.
Thats when I will believe he has changed.
Him making moves in FA and trades are what NORMAL front offices do every year.
Hes doing his job finally . Yay.
Unfortunately - If he cared about meeting his maker and winning.I get it man. He'll NEVER change that much because it is perception and identity that drives him. It's going to be his way or the highway to the bitter end.
Please don't get me wrong. I'm not defending him or trying to prop him up, nor do I have any more hope today than I did five years ago. I'm just observing how things seem to be playing out.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer on @1053thefan said they continue to be hopeful that CB Joey Porter Jr. can play Sunday at Houston.
“We’ll see how he moves around today, see if he’s sore today. But I thought it was a great start yesterday. Really, really pleased with not just what I saw on the field, but really just the way he attacked his preparation and in learning the system. The big thing that will drive this is his ability to communicate with Caleb Downs and some of the safeties and things like that as we get ready to finish the prep.”
Schottenheimer on the trade: “We’re in a win-now mode. Jerry (Jones) is 84 years old, we got Dak Prescott playing at an MVP level right now, we’ve got a couple of incredible receivers. A chance to get a young player like Joey and add him to your roster with a secondary that is very, very beat up, I think (the trade) happens no matter what (happened vs. Baltimore).
“I think we’re always in the business of going and finding great players. And people like to call the Cowboys because we’re not afraid to make deals.”
