Schottenheimer: Jerry is 84 years old, we are in win now mode

He actually turns 84 the 13th of this month but I have no problem with speeding that up.

That coach needs to take sone lessons from the backwards visor wearing 50s something guy trying to connect with the me first generation by emphasizing individual player stats in a roll call shout out environment.

The No Schot post game locker room rules!

Uh yeah,
Sarcasm to the extremist.

middle of the pack is now MVP level?

throwing it away vs going for the win is now MVP level?

Shoddy is trying hard to paint a picture of a top level QB AFTER proving he doesn't believe in said QB's ability to throw a winning pass.
I was gonna say. MVP win that game and make MVP throws when it matters most , not throw it away without even trying.

Hilarious. The reaper will harvest shottys career before Jerry passes.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer on @1053thefan said they continue to be hopeful that CB Joey Porter Jr. can play Sunday at Houston.

“We’ll see how he moves around today, see if he’s sore today. But I thought it was a great start yesterday. Really, really pleased with not just what I saw on the field, but really just the way he attacked his preparation and in learning the system. The big thing that will drive this is his ability to communicate with Caleb Downs and some of the safeties and things like that as we get ready to finish the prep.”

Schottenheimer on the trade: “We’re in a win-now mode. Jerry (Jones) is 84 years old, we got Dak Prescott playing at an MVP level right now, we’ve got a couple of incredible receivers. A chance to get a young player like Joey and add him to your roster with a secondary that is very, very beat up, I think (the trade) happens no matter what (happened vs. Baltimore).

“I think we’re always in the business of going and finding great players. And people like to call the Cowboys because we’re not afraid to make deals.”

Quoting the great George Allen- "The future is now" Every season should be in "win now mode".

At 84, sorry but Jerry needs to be put out to pasture. Nothing against the elderly, but GM in the NFL is not an old man's profession. Should have been gone almost two decades ago. Stephen Jones at 62 ain't no spring chicken. Kinda like owning the best race care in the world and demanding to drive it yourself. SMDH..
...but do we really know how much he is actively involved with the day to day decisions now?

I heard the same BS when Romo was here: That both his and Jerry's window was closing. Eleven years later 'ol Jerrah still the GM in training.

Considering the number of players brought in via trades and FA, it appears Jerry in win now mode.

But we know Jerry is a Forbes first guy and articles/interviews like this are just meant to sell the brand more.
Jerry is not in win now mode. If he was, he would step down and hire a professional GM.

Anyone get ****** chills when Schottenheimer calls players by their nicknames?
