Team seems to like him.

If he is going to be successful long term, he has to improve and improve quickly in regard to coaching decisions. The ones in Brazil and then he turns around this week and has the blunder at the end of the half. That was brutal.

On offense, he needs to forget the gadget plays. It doesn't seem to be his thing and he is going to get CD killed handing him the ball. This offense is good enough to score without needing to resort to trick plays.

Announcers kept talking about how great Houston defense is.....yet they never adjusted to do anything to cover Lamb. It was pretty much pitch and catch and the last catch might have been the easiest one of the game.

But they actually did come up with a couple of stops. That is a change. I do think that Porter is going to make a difference at corner. He is a true matchup corner and this defense sorely needs that kind of guy.

Especially for trying a 65 yard field goal instead of just punting right before halftime. That gifted the Texans three points and made a difficult win even more difficult.

Its a difference between being good and being lucky. Perfect time to tell the guys we got lucky and we need to tighten some things up. If you take advantage of teaching moments discipline will follow. IMO.

Actually the run defense was above average today and there were some actual third down stops in the second half. The final numbers aren't pretty but they did do some good things today. Some.

They showed up when they needed to most

One year we beat a team 65 to 58, the next year we beat the same team 10 to 7....they both counted as a win for us and a loss for them.... some guys just can't bring themselves to enjoy a win.... enjoy it after the game, sleep on it, break down the game tomorrow and then, rip and correct.
