Been in the military.
Been on several different sports teams.
Both promoted personal gathering events to instill a sense of family and unity amongst its members.
In football sometimes it works.
Sometimes it doesn't.
Based on the overall collective talent level of any said team.
They could just as easily lose a bunch as a family of brothers as they could win a bunch.

No less.
This ain't some new groundbreaking coach's tactic.

While I think Schottenheimer is a lazy hire by Jerry this kind of activity is very important. It’s not about paintball. It’s about seeing how people interact with one another outside of work. The coaching staff can’t follow these guys home or otherwise invade their private lives.

If you have to manage people it is very important to see as many aspects of their personality and mannerisms as possible. It can allow a manager to consider alternate ways to approach, motivate, an individual. This activity has value to the coaching staff. It is a smart move.

I agree and hear you loud and clear, just want to see them put it all together on the field
