“No one in the locker room is happy. No one in the locker room is fulfilled. We didn’t win. And there’s definitely things to clean up. But I would be remiss if I didn’t say how proud I was of them and their fight. I wanted that for them. But, man, NFL football is hard.”

4th & 6 in overtime and the defensive coordinator calls a cotton soft defense that essentially concedes a completion. How about talking to him about "learning to win"?

Sure, Schotty means it... good for him. I'm sure all the coaches and all the players are playing to win the game. Good leadership...

But... give me the name of one decent player on defense who performs at a Pro-Bowl level. Or, better yet.. an All-Pro level.

Schotty seems like a good coach. But "coaching better" isn't the problem.

We do NOT have the talent on defense!

And, that... is on the GM and Owner. One constant who has no idea how to field a complete, deep and competent roster that fit the current coaching schema.

We are paying a lot of money in the secondary to be so bad though. I'd say they are hobbled but usually guys just look lost. Maybe less so last night, but still to give up 40 points you can't be doing much very well.
