Schottenheimer - We're building a team. We're not just collecting talent.

Huh.

Just since 2010, all these guys went to at least one pro bowl

Dez
Tyron
Fred
Martin
Jones
Zeke
LVE
Lamb
Parsons

The first round has not been the team’s problem. They hit more than most other teams
:hammer:Exactly earlier in the week and I'm not going to go find it the last 16 drafts we've only had four questionable first round picks that would be obviously taco and Mazi and we missed on Claiborne etc... Yeah it's tough to find many bad drafts especially with the first round. The thing is it doesn't matter what round these guys were picked in because sometimes you take a guy like Ezekiel Elliott that may have seemed at the time we took him too high but the dude was the best running back in the league for four years but I look at it this way we picked up our franchise quarterback in the 4th round in the same draft that makes it a moot point to wonder where they're picked it doesn't matter where they're picked the entire draft was successful because of those two guys,,.

He told us what he was going to do and, so far, that’s what he’s doing.

The team may well be middle of the pack again next year but it’s nice to see that there at least appears to be a plan and a thought out coaching approach.
I think the “safe” is what best describes this plan. Same as the clapper.

I was talking about the first round of the playoffs.

The coach is growing on me.

I already thought it was a decent hire because you never know about coaches, but he seems to have a presence and a plan like his dad did.
I like him also. I never cared for McCarthy. The guy couldn't even manage the clock, something a 10 year old can do playing madden. That's unacceptable and he should have been fired after his first year. I don't care how many wins he had in the regular season.

This draft definitely had Schotinheimer's fingerprints on it. These are High character guys- you can see it and hear it in the phone calls. That's really who the fans want to pull for. I don't care to cheer for a thug who values his rap career more than football and gets caught in a shootout. Nobody wants those guys on the team and nobody wants to share a locker room with them. The only person infatuated with that type of player is Jerry Jones. I hope those days are over.

I'm also glad we didn't draft a backup tight end in a second round.

Man, I can't believe nobody ever gave this guy a shot until Jerry.

I can't believe this guy bounced around from team to team. Almost every year at a new place.

Jerry must see something that nobody else in his career ever saw.

We're so lucky.

You crack me up!
Take him camping up on the mountain....invite Dak too.

You must not have watched the last half of the 1st round presser. Shotty dominated the conversation for the most part. He spoke a lot in the wrap up presser as well which you obviously didn’t watch.
Didn’t you quit the board? Did you feel it was safe to stick your toe in the water again? Why don’t you run along again with your tail between your legs as usual.

Team captains in college or not, give us dudes with actual fight in them and not ones that roll over in the playoffs cause they're "tired."

Hope its true. Right now, the only draft visual is seeing an NFL head coach regulated to side chairs in a war room and press conferences. That can also be culturally influential.
As they should be. They are not talent evaluators, they are coaches, so sitting off to the side in the war room doesnt bother me at all. Agree with press conferences, but Jerry wants the light to shine brightest on him

Understood. However, the Dallas Cowboys war room is not designed as those typically seen for all other teams during any draft. Jerry Jones makes certain all viewers understand the leader of the team is him. That is an atypical visual for practically all professional team sports.

I do agree fully with your observation of Jones' narcissism. It is who he is.
