Schotty Ball, how Brian is approaching his big shot

Shoddy is beginning to grow on me. The enthusiasm seems a little deliberate at times, but that’s what todays players probably respond well to.

It’s a typical Jerry hire, but Jerry wouldn’t not Jerry for anyone, except Parcells, and only when he needs a building funded.

MILES better than Garrett though. That guy was as disingenuous as it could get, and I’m sure the players tuned him out well before his departure. The monotone alone could put anyone to sleep. But Jerry was having fun. That’s the important part.
Garrett was coach of the year. He thought it wise to start a rookie try hard over a seasoned vet

I don't care about anything but wins. That's what changes my mind, not all the hype!
Save yourself some grief around here.

You aren't brainwashed nor lobotomized: you realize that all this talk and comments of "this coach is The One or that 7th round rookie obviously looks like a future HOF'er" talk is just the same thing that happens around here every offseason for the past 30 years.

But just save yourself a migraine, because the Zaney Zoners won't be content until you start making threads/comments about how Shartenheimer is "connecting with players in a new way (paintball), and posting threads about every 6th and 7th round pick asking "Could <nsert meaningless player name> become the next <insert name of some Hall of Fame Player like Jerry Rice or Reggie White>

U til you do that....they'll continue to Mob you until you conform.

P.s. Zaney Zoners please don't read this post...it's just for my guy Joey here.

I've been mobbed since the day I joined CZ 13 years ago for not conforming.... To borrow a (slightly altered) famous quote from Winston Churchill, "I will never surrender".
OK good luck.

Remember....their attacks are never smart, clever or logical.... but, just like in zombie apocalypse movies, any 1 zombie is easily defeated, but when thousands of them mindlessly pile up on you, the sheer weight of them can crush you under a mountain of thoughtless, blabbering chaos.

Stay off the main roads, only travel at night...and maybe you can survive

I guess I could lie and say Shotty can be this or could turn out but I just think this was a terrible hire and will end ugly. I know that is being negative I guess but that's my gut. I guess all u can do is hope for the best........

I wonder who on here will admit to Shotty being their first choice as hire.

I will say this up front . I’m glad JJ did not go older re tread in the new hire . Shanahan and Mcvey the new hire in Chicago Johnson heck Siriani off the SB all had to get hired as HC to start somewhere .

And Seattle under Carroll was a good culture example for this coach to get exposed to . You were always in a dog fight when the Seahawks were on the schedule .

I think the Schotty hire is very similar to the Garrett hire. As long as he keeps letting Jerry make all the calls he will survive. Garrett would still be the HC if not for all the grief Jerry was getting from the fans and media.

For me what sets this apart from Garrett is the assistant coaches. He didn’t hire hungry assistants they were alway old and has past history with winning. Guys like Kiffin didn’t care at that point and neither did Maranelli. Adams and Eberflus have of a head coaching gig.

Basically you’re saying if you support the team and hold them accountable you are a brainwashed but if you post negatively 24/7 and berate posters for how they chose to fan….somehow you aren’t Zaney lol. You’re just as bad as the people you are talking about lol

Pot, meet kettle

How is the current 'seasoned vet' doing in the playoffs?
Playing just as bad as the previous guy did….thankfully him he doesn’t have a Dak behind him to take his spot otherwise he too probably would’ve suffered the same fate….and he probably will once he breaks all of Romo’s records.

I don’t berate anyone for how they chose to fan. For instance look at you you are anti Cowboys do I berate you for it? Not at all. All I do is try and remind you guys you aren’t any different or better than any other fan. Just as long as you continue to talk and support Cowboys that’s good enough for Jerry.

Maybe this Milton guy will light a fire. We'll soon see.
