Schotty Ball, how Brian is approaching his big shot

Its the fan who doesn't buy in with 29 years of offseason hype approach.
That is the wrong way to look at it IMO.
Shotty hasnt been HC for the last 29 years lol.
This is all new, and I like what he is doing , and it is different from the last 2 HC's they had.

I dont expect a overnight miracle, but I think we might see the team trending in the right
direction. I am hopeful for a change, but cant really judge till sept.

The guy hasn't held a head coaching job in his life. How on earth can you come to this conclusion before he coaches his first game? All we see from him right now is a desire to be the popular party guy, the life of the party.
That is meaningless, every successful coach in the NFL at some point , was in the same situation lol.
Curt Warner had never been a starting QB in NFL, and he won a SB his first year as starter.

He cant be rated or judged ( fairly or intelligently) till after his first season.

He'd probably would have a different outlook if the HC Jerry got was more reputable.

Very good article about Brian and his thoughts and how he is approaching his chance as HC of the Cowboys.

Aside from leading the Cowboys to a Super Bowl, Schottenheimer also has another goal in mind: Build the greatest culture in professional sports. It's something he has emphasized since his introductory press conference, and although he knows it won't happen overnight, Schottenheimer trusts the process he's begun to construct and that his players will come to trust it too.

"I go back to my days with Pete [Carroll]," Schottenheimer said. "I think if you go back and you look at some of the things we did in Seattle, obviously the starting point for me would be things that our players do well. You're always going to start with that. If your system is not flexible enough to do what your players do well, then you're probably in the wrong business."
" Schottenheimer trusts the process"

Not from what I'm seeing. He seems to be less cliche than both of our previous coaches. I like what he's been saying. I am not saying we are playoff bound this year, but I am more positive about this team than I was this time last season.

You might have second thoughts after watching the video of him and players Greek dancing in his latest attempt to add culture. I’m having more doubts about him every day.
Oh he has no shot to succeed, he just speaks a little more articulately, maybe genuinely than what I’ve been used to for about ever.

There’s no chance to overcome the Jerry factor, be it the undermining, or leaving the team short on the field…or actually any of the rest of the list,

The guy just doesn’t annoy me is what I probably should have said.

Dear me.
You detect no cliches in his lofty "I am regular people" pronouncements and descriptions of the franchise?
Team building, team culture, work ethic, blah, blah, blah.
This Dollar Store coach is Chan Gailey Lite.
Let us judge him during the regular season when we can see how his

Nepo baby comfort hire. A product of the outdated good old boy system. He will fail miserably.

At this rate I’m half expecting this dance to show up this season
