Schotty has been figured out

After last night’s 23-13 loss at Green Bay, the league has Schotty and this scheme figured out.

The old formula to beat the Cowboys was simple: long, sustained drives that keep their offense off the field. That still works. But what’s new, and more damning, is that even when this offense is on the field, it no longer matters.

Schotty’s attack is pass-happy and one-dimensional.
They rank 31st in the NFL in rushing at just 76 yards per game.
Against Green Bay they managed 48.
Ten days earlier against Tampa Bay they had 50.
Meanwhile Dak is forced into nights like 54 pass attempts at a putrid 4.8 yards per attempt.
When you refuse to run the ball, defenses load the box, sit on the pass, and dare you to beat them.

Green Bay and Tampa Bay both did exactly that.

Look at the collapse. Early in the season they were scoring 30+.

The last two games? A combined 29 points.
They were shut out 17-0 in the first half last night for the first time since 2021.

Two interceptions. No identity. No sustained drives of their own.

Just a predictable, pass-first offense that can’t punish teams for selling out against the run.

Schotty is 9-13-1 as a head coach.

The same problems keep repeating. No commitment to the run game, soft early downs, and zero visible adjustments. Opponents know the formula now, control the clock and dare this offense to beat you through the air.

Both parts are working.

This team keeps showing up unprepared and unwilling. Winning a soft NFC East doesn’t fix any of it. It just means he gets another year while the rest of the league continues to prove they’ve already solved him.
this team is broken and its not going to be fixed this season or ever until big changes are made at the top its going to have to be broken down and start over and the jones cant be putting it together so until next year i am out have

His offense regressing is why he was fired in Seattle.

The decision comes after a disappointing end to an odd season in which the Seahawks scored the most points in franchise history but slogged their way through the second half. That curious offensive regression continued in their 30-20 season-ending loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC wild-card playoff game three days ago.

Carroll has expressed regret that the Seahawks didn't adjust better to the way opponents were defending them in the second half of the season. He also cited his own dialing back of the offense as part of the reason for the decline in production, saying he tightened things up as the Seahawks faced a handful of strong defenses near the end of the season.

Carroll said part of the solution next season will be to run the ball enough to force defenses into more favorable coverages.
Sound familiar?

Can we stop saying how amazing Dak is against the blitz?

He throws in slow motion. He takes 2 or 3 steps and winds up his arm before he pushes the ball like a shotput.

Love faced the same pressure and just flicked the ball quick to receivers.

I don't know what Shotty should call.
I think defenses have zero respect for Dak’s escapability. Last year was crazy though. He really worked hard to actually look slightly spry compared to 2024. But another year of Father Time makes him look more like 2024 version. If he gets flushed from the pocket or chased, he is in major trouble. He doesn’t do a quick flip-that’s not his throwing motion. He corkscrews to get his power. When standing on a platform-that works. Any real pressure and it’s disaster time as he cannot get into his normal throwing motion. The opposing defense is just sending one more guy than the blockers can block. Unless Ceedee or Pickens win immediately, the offense grinds to a halt.

It looks to me like Shoddy and his staff don't watch film of their opponents. GB is supposedly terrible against the run. Shoddy runs 13 times and throws 50 times. I know the Cowboys running game is not great. But against a poor run defense? Maybe it could be great. At least try to wear them down. He is just an awful HC. Let's hope Jerry is willing to rectify that at the end of this year or sooner.

Yeah, it is shocking how bad his mechanics are on regular passes. He used to have a pretty quick release, but now, he looks like Byron Leftwich with a noodle arm. The only time he can get some velocity on the ball is when he throws on the run, but he's reverted to doing jump passes and can't put any zip on it. I think he's physically cooked.

I hate to break it to you because I'm not a shoddy fan, but he's forced to live in a scheme that Dak can actually run.
And it's not hard to figure out

Some of you just don’t get it. What Jerry wants, Jerry gets! He wants the greatest show on earth, with a mid-QB, terrible coaching staff, washed up players, and no leadership. This is the Hindenburg and Titanic happening weekly, right before our eyes.
