Schotty nugget on Pickens update

The problem is the super greedy players. They don't care about the cap space availability or how their continuous greed for record-setting new contract affects the rest of the team.
Until deals are fully guaranteed, you should probably shut it. Players getting all they can raises the salary bar for others across the league. The salary cap keeps rising and rising. Most guy aren't gonna see a 3rd deal, they need to maximize what they get.

Would you work to less than market value so that your employer could hire another person?

Yeah should be interesting to see if anything has been learned from the Parson's ordeal who also had the same agent.
Something I learned as a fan is the roster and salary discussions are gross and not as fun as they used to be

I don’t begrudge either sides for valuing the buck but im
Over all
Of it,

Watch dak ask for a trade one day and be like Dallas ain’t ****

As much as I'd like for players to take team friendly deals to build a great team, I'm all for them getting what they deserve with them putting their health on the line every time they step on the field and usually on non-guaranteed deals at that.

Besides, we are talking about the Cowboys. Players know they risking it all and not even getting a glimpse of a ring (while Jerry is around) so why not get what they can while they can. It's up to Jerry/FO to be creative and figure this ish out (just like the Rams, Eagles do) instead of focusing on the profits in their pocket and Forbes. If they can treat it like a business, players can do the same.

That's just par for the course for the Jones boys. It keeps them in the news cycle and makes these attention ****** happy.

We should keep in mind that Pickens no longer has a contract........of course, he will miss off-season workouts

Right. He'll wait until the last minute to sign, which is July 15. OTAs and minicamp take place before that date.

He can’t attend OTAs and minicamp even if he wanted to. He’s still a free agent

It’s just that the cowboys don’t want to negotiate a real contract and Pickens has absolutely no reason to sign his tag. Doing so would actually be a bad move for him.

I wish these idiots woudl jsut trade him. They are so keen to save a few million long term that they’ll pay more now than they have to and inevitably end up alienating the player

I hate Jerry and Stephen so much. The fans deserve better.

...meh, just show up for camp, ready to have great 26'.

I’m sure the generational billionaire class appreciates your fiery support in their battle against their greedy workers.

NFL owners have, by far, the most favorable CBA and the least effective players union.

Every league rule, and process, is controlled by the owners. That includes the salary cap and the lack of true free agency.

They are doing just fine.

Pickens does not need to be around for the OTA's.
How much do we expect Lamb or even Dak to participate in them. Not a lot.

However, I think Pickens will be three regardless. Even if to just be there, help the younger WR's with advice, as Lamb will also.
He can’t be there for OTAs or camp because he is not under contract

Please don’t create a false expectation. We’re already going to see fans dogging him when he’s not there.

They are good at math.

Who wants to work for free? I hope and assume he is working out with his own group.
