Schotty on Milton

Milton is limited at 245 pounds and the strongest arm in the league.
His processing has been his problem along with his erratic passes. But I loved the way he played in his last game with the Patriots. He was promising. Can’t complain about his talent but he needs to develop. Milton could be Romo in two years or Lance. Let him develop.

Except he can’t throw.

Per draft profile.

And 6 seasons of NCAA

Dude is playing on non GTD money at league min.
He threw against Buffalo. Go watch it. He also beat the Bills while playing for the worst team in league and cost them the 1st pick in the draft.

- He'll need the neccessary time and reps and game experience to develop,.. camp & preseason is limited with the scrub competition and support cast with 3rd/4th string and practice squad like backups..

- hate to think it but will Milton key playing time and game experience come with dak being hurt
and being forced into action in a crisis ..?

- There will be times where we have to find out if he can be a capable backup that can bus-drive wins until Dak returns .

- Will there be a monster difference between a Milton vs Trey Lance ..?

Milton is a young QB trying to get acclimated to the NFL . Coach Schotty is thrilled to have him and has nothing but praise for his progress with the Cowboys. Like any young QB trying to become acclimated to the NFL, he needs grooming before he'll be ready to get the role as a starter with the Cowboys.

If, and when that happens must be determined in due time. In the meantime, Dak Prescott remains as their starter until the Cowboys' staff decides otherwise. In the event Prescott gets injured, Will Grier is most likely to provide the backup role in 2025.

What is Shotty supposed to say?

Jerry is the GM.

Shotty knows the kid can’t throw.

He lost Rush and Lance…got Grier and Milton.

Who can be happy about that QB room?

When it’s his time, Milton will have to perform. You may only get one shot if you’re lucky. He could be the next Dak if we are lucky but he more likely to be Ben Denucci.

More like Logan Thomas. Milton should study his career and copy it.

Shotty can say anything that he's inclined to -- I really have nothing to do with that. If you ask Shotty, he's surely not likely to tell you, or anyone else, that Joe Milton "can't throw." I can live with it, until something better comes along. Our FO isn't the most proactive, in any event.

Speaking strictly for myself, I wouldn't venture to say it's an ideal scenario. With Grier and Milton as our #2 and #3, respectively, it's simply what we have in house, like it or not. Rush & Lance weren't ideal, either. All in all, I feel we're reasonably fortunate to have what we do. Satisfaction isn't guaranteed.

OMG....get over yourself. a joke...its a joke!!!
what is wrong with you?
one never knows on this chronically pessimistic board

But since you asked. I have decompensated cirrhosis with varices that need banded yearly, Hepatic Encalapathy as a result of the cirrhosis, my gall bladder barely functions and I'm too high of surgery risk to remove it.

WHat ails you?
