Schotty's post-game celebration

Offensively it is hard to complain at all....the offense and playcalling seems better than it has been in years, despite the fact our last two coaches were "offensive" coaches.

Defense is still pretty rough, but at least today we some effort to change things up a bit. Talent level on that side of the ball is pretty shaky, so it depends on the scheme to make things easier.

The question I have is...at what point do you decide to go all in? We have two games before the bye. If you win both do you seriously look at adding a guy via trade? Hendrickson, or one of the Dolphins pass rushers, or Crosby if it is really true that they would trade him? Overshown possibly will be back after the bye so that would be another improvement, and with Carson and possibly Shavon Revel healthy there is some better talent than what we currently are putting out there.

I loved when he mentioned Bland and his pick 6 man I loved every second of that play. I got to say I liked the Schott hire from the beginning over another warmed over coach on his 3rd stop or something . This man appreciates this opportunity.

I read a graphic we were in man coverage 43%, the highest all season. Interestingly, it happened with Diggs out and he's been begging for it

OK coach........I know he still has some work to do to win over fans but
I honestly think we have the right guy.

Until he gets a competent GM to get him professional players, he has little chance to be successful.
Our defense has a bunch of Jags ,and that's being generous.

I need to see something in the playoffs because I believe anything.

I will add, however, the offense has been more impressive than I was anticipating.

He really hasn't done much of anything wrong this year. Personnel on the D side of the ball is not up to him, and he looks to be well in control of things

I'm starting to become a believer. He inherited his defense and DC so can't fully blame him for how pathetic that side is yet.
He sat in the defensive meetings this week to see if he could help with ideas on how to fix this defense. So he might have something to do with the better play tonight as well.

Lol, what are you watching? They have outstanding players.
They've had outstanding players for the last 30 years. That's not what's holding this team back. You're never going to have a Super Bowl caliber team without a Super Bowl caliber GM.

As far as I'm concerned, Schotty has passed all of my expectations for being a good coach. He likely misses a play from time to time, but every coach is prone to experience miscues.

He has spent lots of time with Eberflus, according to what I've read. It's actually much to his credit, for convincing him to play man-to-man, at least to some extent. It's said to be a first for Eberflus.

He also appears to get the most out of his players, so it's to his credit for that, too. I imagine it's no small feat to overcome the craziness that surely emanates from the Cowboys' FO.

I agree. I liked him from the start. I’m jaded and cynical about Jerry, but I’m not jaded and cynical about humanity. Schottenheimer just seems like a good dude and I will always throw my support behind a good dude when I can.

I mean, to me this locker room rah rah stuff is pretty corny, but all that matters is the players obviously buy it.

I still remember when Garrett would yell, "Cowboys on three and make it loud!" and about three or four players would mumble "cowboys."
