Lets hope be doesn't go back to back on the Cowboys 1st round pick.

9. Dallas Cowboys (via projected trade with KC)

Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

OK, our first trade! I could see this happening. After allowing 377 yards per game and letting opponents convert on third down 47.3% of the time -- ranking among the worst in the NFL in both -- Dallas has to get one of the top defensive prospects. It's a necessity. But there's no guarantee any of them -- Downs, Delane, Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. et al -- will still be there at No. 12. This is a chance to guarantee getting one of them and still have another first-round pick. Delane's coverage ability should help stop some of the big plays that doomed the Cowboys in 2025.

Projected trade

Chiefs get: No. 12 and No. 20
Cowboys get: No. 9 and No. 29

29. Dallas Cowboys (via projected trade with KC/LAR)

Malachi Lawrence, Edge, UCF

Lawrence has quietly risen the board over the past two months, and I wouldn't be surprised if he hears his name late in Round 1. Dallas gets the defense-defense double up that has been predicted for a while, but it does it from two different picks than expected after the projected trade. Lawrence can boost the pass rush; he had seven sacks in 2025.

I would take CJ Allen at 29 instead of Lawrence

This is what I been saying about trading up.......

I’d have no problems with this. But it then makes it imperative that you get a linebacker with pick #92, be that a rookie or the well-reported trade with Miami for Jordyn Brooks (preferred).
You are def backed against the wall and can't expect a 3rd round rookie to start.......

I'd do this trade. We still keep two 1st rd picks and move up 3 spots to get a better defensive player.

Hard to complain about those players imo

Can't complain. Love Lawrence, iffy on Delane as a top CB but accept that he's at least the best in the class.

I think he already went back to back. You're hoping against a 3 peat. Old Pete is dialed in.

Any lb at 92 how good would they really be, would be great to get Brooks

Yeah if they did this and found a way to trade up for Rodriguez or Allen id be stoked.

I love Allen but pass rusher is so important. Corner and edge are money defensive positions.

If you're going by the trade chart everybody loves that trade is a win for the Chiefs. We'd need a 4th also to even it out.
