Schultz to Texans for 1 year 9 million

Wouldn't surprise me if no offer was made. With the Fergeshot duo and a deep TE draft class, it wouldn't make sense for the Cowboys to resign him.
There was a report that Dallas did give him a multi year offer

Indifferent. Good player who did his job. Liked him in college. He was a bit whiney as a pro, but again, did what was asked of him (except maybe block people on the field).

Was never really a Franchise Tag caliber player but Stephen Jones couldn't negotiate his way out of a phone booth.

Good luck to him.

So basically....we gave the Texans Schultz when we made the Cook trade. Way to go Jerry... now your gonna compound the mistake by drafting a guy in the 1st round.

Just watch....

I bet the Cowboys offered something in that ballpark. He wanted market value, gambled, and lost. Or maybe he won, I don't know what we offered him. But the Cowboys were right about not giving him market value.

Most of the time the projected market values are spot on, or close to it. This year I've noticed 3 players take considerably less.

Would you rather have 3 for 30 like the cowboys offered or this?
Players making dumb decisions everywhere.

Not good news for the comp pick I would assume?
What Do you mean, it is great news for comp picks.
We lost 5 players and signed no one to offset them. Now do a few qualify to get any comp picks, Need to see contracts. As well 4 of them need to be in the top 36 or however many they hand out now.
Last I knew the contract needs to be at least $1 mil per year Including bonus.

such a loser that he's trying to earn money for his family, freaking punk I tell you. Lock him up
He got plenty from us “for his family” on the tag. Should have signed decent deal with us - that’s why he is a punk.
