Scoring early.

Pretty much all year our defense has been hard to score touchdowns on, especially given a long year.

Unheralded MVPs should be McBriar and Buehler, giving offenses poor field position.

But whats best is our ability to make a team one dimensional by getting a head of them early as we have in the last few weeks. We already demonstrated the ability to stop the run, but making them completely one dimensional by getting up 14 - 0, really puts teams in an impossible situation against our defense.

Yes, by scoring first and staying ahead we obviously force the opposing team to throw more than planned, and this opens up more opportunities for turnovers. I give props to the defense this year for stopping the "big play". Since we shored up our safety positions there has been a definite drop in the long bomb plays against us.

I like our chances of doing this if the Defense keeps playing the way it has been.

No coincidence that we've played our best 3 games of the year while scoring a TD our very drive for the first time all year in those games.
