So now that Scott has Amari a so called number one ( I call bs on number one) are we going to go back to running the Dez offense just force to ball to Amari like they did Dez? Does anyone trust Scott to spread it around? I don’t I think Scott peed all over himself he was so excited and went to the filing cabinet and pulled out the good old force it to number one playbook. He did the same BS in Detroit with Matt and Megatron. I don’t trust Scott.

He didn't have a running game in Detroit, and Cooper is no Megatron. If they do force the ball to Cooper. I won't mind at first. It'll affect the way the defense plays them, and open up the run. But hopefully once that happens they'll just try to get it to whoever can make a play.

I believe forcing the ball to the #1 WR has as much to do with the QB as it does the OC in a way. This OC never moved Dez around and the system is designed to force each player to beat their man in order to work.

With Dak not being at Romo’s level of reading and reacting you get a QB forcing the ball to the perceived #1 WR.

I’m expecting the offense to look more like last year with Dez than I am Romo’s prime years where he would use audibles to create mismatches.

Neither do I. I fear, we'll just go to running the same old curls and comebacks that he always likes to run. He was forced to try to be more imaginative before the trade and failed miserably, it's hard to believe, that he will suddenly become more imaginative to take advantage of Coopers skillset. The first 15 or so plays will look good, just enough to give us some hope, then back to his predictable comfort zone.

It would be a little [stupid] to go blow a one and not use him.

I agree. I think you're going to have to show some chemistry between Dak and Cooper to get teams to play your offense differently than they have. They're not going to change what they're doing based on name recognition, it's going to take actual results. If Cooper's getting one-one-one coverage because they're playing single safety high? Throw it to him!

I’m sure Linehan is capable. The problem is tht Jason Garrett is an idiot and probably doesn’t allow him to.

OCs don’t force the ball anywhere. If it happens it’s on the QB.
OCs do force the QB into a bad situation which leads to forcing the ball somewhere.

If no one is open because the routes are predictable the QB will be forced to try to make a play and this will lead to either taking a sack or forcing a ball to a covered receiver.

We need a QB who can get him the ball. This FO is a joke. The part of the team that red head is in charge of they spend a number 1 pick on a receiver...Jones will stop at nothing to try and make JG, SL and Dak look better than the jags they are...

Some of y’all keep saying the OC is not the guy forcing the ball. Please go take a history lesson on Scott every where he goes you see the same garbage.

I'm fine with targeting Cooper 8-10 times as long as it's the type of routes that suits him. Take advantage of this guys ability to cut, run and explode as a route runner. We really haven't seen this type of WR in Dallas since Terry Glenn.
12 yards a reception surrounded by better WRs in Oakland where he should of been more open with a QB better at getting the ball down field yeah that say explosive

UMM Dak has the final decsions who he throws too, not ScotL...but no I dont trust SL..hes been garbage most of the year..its like hes asking a magic 8 ball which play he should run next/..

Force feeding #1s is pretty much Linehan's MO. I'm betting we'll see lots of go routes with Cooper down the sideline too.
That's fine if it draws a safety, opening up the run and the shorter stuff Dak likes.

It's not Scott forcing the ball to Dez. Its Dak forcing the ball to Dez to keep him happy
