On The Fan, Scott Linehan says his son plays middle linebacker at Highland Park, not an offensive position.
#Cowboys fans shouldn't be worried about the running game. They'll replace Murray with Randle, Dunbar, D-Mac.
#Lions threw a lot because that was how they were built. "Everybody wants to be able to run the football"
the #Cowboys have a similar offensive plan the '14, which was by design.
he and Jason Garrett wanted to get back to the old '90s #Cowboys.
you don't see run success early in games. Teams will load the box and you'll get 2-3 yard runs.
run game success happens over four quarters and by sticking to it.
he realized the #Cowboys OL was really good before he got there, even before the drafting of Zack Martin.
Joe Randle has great rushing instincts; he has patience, sets up his blocks real well.
Joe Randle has a sneaky burst to get that explosive run.
Darren McFadden has homerun speed and the same speed he's always had.
Murray was kind of getting a little beat up near the end of '14, so they did give Randle more carries.
#Romo is, "doing a good job of managing his age."
La'el Collins will have veterans ready to compete with him; no one is going to give him a spot.

Love to hear they are still committed to the running formula of the 90s Cowboys. That is a winning formula. That is what Jason Garrett knows and I believe that's is the "Garrett Doctrine".

I liked that too...staying with the plan running the ball.

I believe it's a ridiculous opinion of those who think that Garret didn't want to run the ball and is pass happy. And the only reason why we are running the ball now is because Linehan wants to run it. Absurd. Forget the record of facts.o_O

I am glad he admits that Murray was wearing down. Even though there were fans on this board who "thought" he was fine. I still think the RB position was mismanaged last year. Murray and the team and his pending contract requirements would have been better off had his production been around 1400 yards and his legs "fresher" for the postseason.

Don't let the Garrett homers see that Scotty.

Our O-line sucked and you know it. Why else would Garrett always abandon the run. He's had top 10 offenses so he obviously knew what he was doing.

I just hope that they can maintain commitment to the run and not get impatient.

What Garret wants and what Garrett did as a playcaller evidently are on two different planets;) It's obvious to anyone he gave up on the run when it was working because he had a grand scheme down the line of allowing his future (tbd?) playcaller to do what he found impossible when had the chance? Idiot skeptics. How could anyone be confused by 7+ seasons of pass happy statistics:D

Linehan is a legitimate NFL offensive coordinator. It was night and day what he was able to do with Romo. When healthy he was a near perfect QB last year.

Offense had pretty much the exact same setup as in 2013 with the exception of Zack Martin.
