IMO he played really well tonight. I think he can make as many contributions as Phillips did last year. We don't need him to play every down. Just about 10-15 plays a game, mostly blocking and maybe be in passing situations in 3 or 4 plays a game.

Yes Phillips is a loss, but Sicko will fill the void. Don't worry!

I was surprised at how good Phillips was and I was also pleased at Sicko's play. We are definitely alright at TE.

Sicko just found a place on the 53 with Phillips going down. It also saves Crickets butt because Phillips was playing well enough as a lead blocker that there was no real need to use a roster spot on a FB.

Pro bowler in the making.

Are you suggesting I have an angeda, good sir? Perish the thought.

It's too bad about Phillps, he was having a great camp and game before getting hurt, if only someone could put his work ethic, dedication and drive be the best he can be into Martellus's head, then you might have something in Martellus, instead of the flake he is now.

Looks like Sicko makes the team with Phillips likely gone for the season, and he looked good last night too.

From my initial glance, he looks like more of a receiver. Looks a little small out there. If true, I am not sure Dallas needs their third TE to be a pass catching guy.

He looked good catching the ball though and might be an ideal guy to put on the practice squad to develop. The Cowboys have several young guys who will be interesting on the practice squad this year.

Sicko is definitely smaller than the other TE's. But I think they view him as more of an F-back that is competing with Anderson more so than with the other TE's.

I think Gronkowski has a better chance to make the team because of his physical stature.

Sicko needs a year on the practice squad and an offseason on the weights.

Look at the other threads.

Or you could have just answered the question.

Shame to hear about his knee, I didn't see him get injured.

He looks squatty to me -- closer to a FB than a pass-catching TE. Would love it if we could somehow keep Witten, Bennett, Phillips, and Sicko -- and dump Deon Anderson.

One of my friends said Phillips looked like Witten out there. I told him when was the last time Witten leaped high in the air for a ball? Or ran fast down field after a catch. Phillips looked good and Sicko looked better than I expected. But how couldn't he when the 2nd and 3rd string QBs threw primarily to the TE and RBs. Hehe

For the guys who were able to watch the game,

How was Sicko's blocking?

As a receiver I think he'll be o.k. his rookie year. I'm more concerned whether he can make his blocking assignments.

In last nights game I think he showed he can catch and block against better competition than he saw at UNH. Must be a reason Dallas persued this young man in the manner in which they did. I hope your right about him, time will tell. With Phillips apparently out for the year he can step up and make this team.

Let's not get our hopes up with this guy...the Injury Bug will probably find a way to get to him too:bang2:

John Garrett is an outstanding talent evaluator IMO. He wanted Phillips, he looked like a home run. He also wanted Sicko. Sicko looked good catching the ball in traffic and catching what he was supposed to catch. I think he'll be at least adequit as a blocker.
