I can't help but laugh at all the people soiling themselves over the potential landing of Elliott in Philadelphia.

He is a quality back that would improve them immensely.

He's not a generational back that takes them from also ran to elite, SB contender either.

Taking Stanley would improve them a lot too given their needs at OL. Taking Jack at OLB would probably help them greatly as well given the need for an OLB in Schwartz's new system.

Fact is, as long as they don't *** it up, they are going to get a very good player at 8 who will help them immensely.

I don't want my favorite player in the draft running the ball down our throats twice a year. We will rue the day we passed on Elliott. Especially for a Greg Ellis level defensive end.

I am more worried about what we do than the Eagles. As long as we make the right choice at 4, I don't care if Elliott ends up in Philly (frankly, I'd be more concerned if Elliott ended up in NY).

What our division rivals do affects the Cowboys. The problem is the eagles get a better player at 8 than we do at 4.

Not if the Cowboys simply do their jobs. Here's the reality. The Giants, Skins and Eagles will pick good players from time to time, even pick a few great ones. Giants got ODB in the teens, etc.

If you spend all your time worrying about who the Eagles will pick and base your draft strategy off of who they could pick, that's just bizarre to me. So no, I don't really care about taking Elliott at 4 partly because I'd want to keep him from the Eagles.

Not a fan of this mock. If we can't draft Wentz or Ramsey, I hope we trade back and are able to select Lynch in the 1st round. I'm hoping for William Jackson III and/or Victor Butler in the 2nd.
