Scout: Randy Gregory 'shut it down' in Holiday Bowl loss

Questions about Nebraska pass rusher Randy Gregory's failed drug test at the NFL Scouting Combinehave been enough to muddle his draft projections. Now, an NFL scout has added something else to the list of concerns about Gregory: his effort level in the Cornhuskers' final game of the season.

In discussing the effort of prospects in bowl games,a scout told jsonline.com that, unlike Wisconsinrunning back Melvin Gordon, Gregory didn't play as hard as he should have in Nebraska's 45-42 loss toSouthern Cal in the Holiday Bowl

It's better if he is not there. He only weighed 235 which is too small for DE. If he is drafted before #27 that's one more other player that is available at #27.

This guy has really screwed up. He was rated in the top five prospects until the combine and it seems like his stock is falling every week. He has really lost some money as of late and it looks like his true character is coming out. Stupid kid.

Trust your gut. Watched this kid play alot of games at Nebraska. Very hot and cold and disappeared for long stretches particularly against very good Olines at Ohio State and Michigan State. Don't trust him at ALL.

Dudes sitting there at 27, I'm taking him!! Not a huge fan, but from what I've read and watched, the guy plays pissed off!! And if he's picked up at 27, means he's got 26 other teams on his #%@$ list. Not sure if it's viable, but having him at the OTTO with Lawrence and Hardy would make for a dangerous pass rush...........take my opinion with a grain of salt, though....I'd trade the farm for Fowler
