Can someone here’ll me about his arm strength? How far can he throw? What’s his upside?

I live in Virginia, he went to JMU which is a relatively small college; not known for football. Shocked that anyone would actually come out of JMU and start football games at Quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. It’s basically equal to a high schooler playing for the Yankees and being their #1 starting pitcher vs. actual Major League Baseball teams.

Good luck. Its difficult to get a good read on guys like him in college. He had a good run at James Madison, but wasnt very good at Pitt. He is a guy we are going to have to evaluate in real time

His upside is he has a heartbeat, not dizzy and can walk. He needs to be excellent at dodgeball and running. All opposing D-linemen have career days against the Cowboys of late. Getting a sack is like shooting fish in a barrel. His best bet is to hand the ball to Pollard.

I was born and raised in VA. Yeah, NO ONE has ever heard of hacks like Charles Haley or Guy Clark.

DiNucci completed nearly 71% of his throws in '19 with 3,441 passing yards & 29 touchdowns while also running for 569 yards & 7 touchdowns on 122 carries.

But we ALL know college stats differ greatly from NFL play.
At least these numbers are encouraging

Lord have mercy....I fell bad for DiNucci. It's not his fault, but he is about to be a sacrifice. His chance for any success is less than being thrown in the ocean with a cut on his leg, blood dripping, and some funny looking fish that have their fins out the water circling him.

Ben Dinucci

Pros: friends with the McCarthy family
Cons: is not good

i do too to be honest. He has no chance. Can only hope he can take a hit, because it is going to be ugly.

I think, from watching his college tape, that he did a decent job of going through his progressions (you can tell he needs work on it though). According to Romo, this the most important thing for a quarterback to be able to do.

He also is a good runner, and the RPO seems to be something he does very well, as even the announcers commented on they didn't know where the ball was.

That said, all of this means that we will just run all game long anyway.

What would be smart, and would be bold, would be to try and run 4 Wide every play, with one RB. Spread out the defense to make it easier for him. Use a lot of motion to help him figure out if they are in zone or man. We have 4 VERY good WRs, we need to use them on every play.

What is going to happen, and everyone knows this on the first play already, is they it is either going to run stretch left to Zeke for 2 yards or a bootleg to the tightend, which is going to be a sack because everyone can see it coming..

At this point, I want to see Dinucci from the gun all game, and I want him to sling the ball 40 times.
