Seeing us linked to him quite a bit. Wondering if some of you Zoners might give me a scouting report. My knowledge of him is limited to his injury history and he is married to Zack’s sister. I would love to give him Witten’s $ and kick the tires for a year. Worth it?

He’s one of those names we are always linked to it seems.

He finally played on 16 games last season. Only had a 4 million cap hit last year with tons of incentives. That’s fine with me

If Tyron Smith sneezes, he'll get injured.

Except that isn't true. Smith has missed 13 games during his 9 year career. Eifert has missed more than 13 games in a season twice already. Eifert has missed a total of 53 games during his 7 year career. Jordan Reed(47 games missed in 7 years) thinks Eifert has issues.

I'm not opposed to adding Eifert, but he isn't deserving of Witten's money. It would have to be a heavily incentive laden contract. Don't depend on him as the main tight end, lasting the full season or being available for a playoff run.

You do know I was being hyperbolic, right?
You do know you offered facts that basically supported MY perspective, right?

Snap I must have read it wrong. I thought you meant if Tyron sneezes, Eifert would get injured LOL.

Watched a lot of his games. He can make some great catches, only can't stay healthy. But maybe that is being him how. But do they need another injury prone player.
Maybe as some depth yes, take the chance, but not as a starter with his injury history.

Tyler Eifert has the talent but his injury history is a red flag and then some. I'd be disappointed if the Cowboys settled for him. We need to look to the future and forget about signing someone for being a cheap acquisition. Our new staff deserves better than that and so does the team itself.

I think we need to look at Ebron.

He will ask more but he has blocking ability as well as catching.

Jarwin is an outlet guy who catches passes, but that is only half of the job.

I really want to see Schultz play. Garrett's staff covered him up with Witten playing and got little snaps.

He made a few plays later in the year then disappeared again.

If the receiver positions get stabilized, Shultz needs to play.

If he can't progress, next year we really make a change.

But if the CBA goes thru and we have more cap, watch us make a run on Ebron quickly.
