The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder spent last season toiling in the shadows of two All-American teammates on the line, left tackle Gabe Carimi and left guard John Moffitt. Zeitler was an honorable mention All-Big Ten pick and probably deserved better.

“Why people weren’t recognizing him, he doesn’t talk to the media a lot,” guard-center Travis Frederick said. “He’s not out in the open. He’s a quiet guy that goes out there and works. Not a lot of times do you see a (player) on TV, that they zoom in on him and say, ‘This guy is a really hard worker.’

Draft Scout has him listed as 5th best at guard and 94th overall. Puts him at the end of the 3rd round.

I have him as the 3rd maybe 4th best OG in the draft. I would love to get him late 2nd or 3rd round if we can get a early 3rd.

Some of us have been beating the Zeitler drum for a while now. Hobbout this:

Trade down into the top of round two for a third.

2. Chase Minnifield (CB) - Virginia
2. Ben Jones (C) - Georgia
3. Kevin Zeitler (OG) - Wisconsin
3. Nigel Bradham (LB) - FSU
4. Derek Wolfe (DE) - Cincinnati
5. Case Keenum (QB) - Houston
6. Jarrett Boykins (WR) - VPI
6. Matt Daniels (S) - Duke
7. Chad Diehl (FB) - Clemson

I put the picks I like in Bold and if we got those guys I would love it.
Maybe replace Bradham with Kawann Short or a return speed WR.
I think Case Keenum is just a system QB in a bad confrence.

no, this team still needs another impact player, its highly doubtful a player like a dez will fall again, or we get a good player like tryon smith, thats generally what happens when you go to the playoffs, you draft lower in the draft each round. But you stay with that first rounder, i keep thinking one of the OG will fall within our range to trade up to get or possibly the center from Ohio. We need one more stud offensive linemen on our offensive line and we need another stud impact linebacker or defensive end because if we lose rob ryan but can keep our linebacker coach that ryan brought, i think we will be ok on defense, and yeah we might go get don capers, but if packers go to super bowl again, capers might vault back up to head coach prospect again. Since capers was the top defensive coordinator that jason garrett wanted.

I see Zeitler and Ben Jones as guys that would be ready to play early, but have limited upsides.

Quite possibly, but he makes ALL the throws, and does it with good velocity and great touch. He may not have played against the SEC West, but I don't think you can fake that kind of accuracy, no matter who's defending. He's thrown a butt load of balls in his college career, and from watching him, I'm absolutely positive he knows how to do that well. For a fifth round pick, I'm willing to let him sit behind Romo for a few years and learn to read defenses.

A guy that doesn't get mentioned on this board is Kelechi Osemele. There's a guard with upside. He's playing LT at Iowa State and doing so quite well. Physically reminiscent of Larry Allen.

Yes Ihave mentioned him a few times. He is #2 on my OG list. He has very quick feet for his size unlike Cordy Glenn.
