........well what do you think? I like Ryan Kerrigan or Dareus of Alabama ALL the way here guys. Both studs and total gamers: especially Kerrigan. Kerrigan has the better motor but Dareus is a physical monster that will take plays off but will probably get bigger and better. I like those two guys alot: IF they are gone, I say trade down to 17 ish and take Smith (OT) USC or Carimi (Wisconsin) if they can project to RT and cut Colombo.

I am shocked at how low in the first round some people are valuing Cameron Heyward. From what I have seen he is the best defensive line prospect outside of Fairley. Is it because he is a bit of a tweener and not a pure edge rusher? I think he is absolutely perfect for a 3-4 defensive end who can move inside on nickle and dime packages.

You mean like Ratliff? ;)

I'd be shocked if they didn't go with a 3-4 DE, especially if they decide not to bring back Spears.

We SHOULD have learned from Spears that there's no need to spend that high a pick on a 3-4 DE unless you are getting a supreme talent.

I'd rather spend money to resign Spears than spend #9 to get another version of him.

Hayward is my 3rd favorite player in the draft, behind Quinn and Darreus. Drew Boylhart feels that after the Senior Bowl, and Combine, Hayward's status is going to shoot up to the top portion of round 1. Hayward is the best pure 3-4 DE in the draft. Unless Ryan is going to run some sort of hybrid 3-4, then it's a safe bet we'll go Darreus or Hayward @ #9. If we go best player, then I hope it's Quinn. I just wonder if Ryan can come up with a scheme to get Quinn on the field with Ware,Spencer, Lee, and James.

Out of all the non Fairly DL available, I like Cameron Jordan the best. Here's a youtube clip of a game against Colorado where he's lining up at almost every position on the DL in both even and odd sets and dominating.

I think he could bring so much versatility for Rex Ryan and could attack from so many different gaps and advantage points.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't know why Adrian Clayborn is regarded as a top prospect. I've watched him 3 or 4 times this year and he never does anything. It's like he was just hyped all offseason as a Top 10 pick and everyone just goes along with it.

First it was trade up for Peterson all the way, now its trade up for Quinn.

Can't wait to see who we're trading up for next week. :)

Meanwhile, we sit here with about 7 starting spots to fill going into next season..

I love Kerrigan. It would make me so happy if he played for the Cowboys. I've watched him live many times at Purdue as I'm a student there; he is a great player! But I'm not sure if the Cowboys would take him at 9.

Trading down would be better than up. Could get a plethora of talent.

Still a clear line of talent before we pick. We almost have to hope for a trade up or down really.

could end up with a "julius jones" too while somebody else ends up with a "steven jackson"

Last year's body of work mainly. He was dominating throughout last season.

He got a lot more attention this year, but also disappeared for long stretches.

Like the rest of the Iowa defense, he seemed to wear down in the second half which is concerning.

........I watched about 5 Iowa games this year and he was nonexistent in 3 of them. HE had a VERY average year and is overrated big time. I can see him going late first or even early second but getting totally white washed by the huge physical linemen in the NFL. He did NOTHING vs. Wisconsin and that's the type of linemen he'll be facing every week. I wouldn't take him in the 3rd round personally.

I love me some Brazillian soccer.
