  • It doesn't appear that talented rookie Anthony Brown will be out of the lineup much longer. He was dealing with soreness in his hamstring and I was getting the feeling on Sunday that he is closer to being ready to return. I see Brown as one of the six corners on this squad, playing a major role in the dime packages.

  • I was under the belief that this front office would look for a veteran quarterback to help with the workload this season. With roster spots the way they are and the way that Dak Prescott has played to this point, I'm not sure that's still how they want to play it. I expect that we will see two quarterbacks on the final roster and one on the practice squad when they work their roster to 53 players.

  • Something that I noticed from the game against the Dolphins, is that Alfred Morris’ teammates love him. Every time Morris carried the ball and was tackled, there would be two-to-three linemen and receivers hustling over to help him up. These players show a ton of respect for him by how hard they play in front of him and how much they appreciate his efforts.

Morris was a steal for several reasons. He fits our ZBS great, he's durable and by all accounts, a consummate professional both on and off the field. He also didn't cost us that much.

But another reason is because we took him away from one of our divisional rivals. The Commanders took him for granted and will now surely miss having a capable and durable RB all 16 games this season.

That is the thing that puzzles me.
Why the Commanders got rid of him.

When he played well in their system.

For some reason, they thought Matt Jones was a better fit and more dynamic. I can understand that, but why not keep Morris as a dependable RB2? He wasn't asking for Lamar Miller money. Maybe they didn't think he would get much interest in FA (and he didn't except for us) and would come back to them at minimum wage?

They changed coaches, systems. He was getting phased out ever since Jay Gruden got there.

He had a down season last year, but Matt Jones' 2015 was even worse. I don't understand how you let a productive, durable pro like Morris walk. Well, except WASHINGTON SUCKS.

It's the Commanders. Makes sense to me.

Because they changed coaches and systems. And they rightfully don't overvalue running backs the way we do here.

One tidbit that will get overlooked as days go by...they DMC "dislikers"...want him traded...can't trade an injured player....:p
And no it does not make sense and is stupid to just flat out release him.

I like Morris, liked the signing from day one, but liked it more over the months following, but still wanted them to draft Zeke. After seeing him in the 1st 2 PS games, it shows he will be great to have on the team.

I don't see them keeping 6 CB's, but guess it is possible.
