There is blame to go ALL around INCLUDING Parcells.
FACT: Parcells has not won ONE playoff game as a Cowboy his entire tenure here. Think he's to blame at all for that?
Good riddance Bill, you old, overrated manboober.
Including, sure. But to blame him for it solely, as "Screw Parcells" intimates is just plain asinine. As you said, there's plenty of blame to go around.
This team has executed like garbage for most of the last month and execution is not on the head coach. Game preparation, planning, motivation, are all on him. Drops. Bad passes. Poor blocking. Poor coverage. Missed tackle. Fumbling in your own territory on the opening drive of th half. Fumbling on a WR screen resulting in a safety isn't. Fumbling a snap on a FG isn't. Being stopped before a 1st down is made isn't. Being unable to establish the run in the first half isn't.
I blame the offense as a whole as much as anything else because they've executed poorly and been sloppy since the New Orleans game. I blame the defensive playcalling and scheming for the recent slide because it's obvious teams found a weakness and exploited it. The offense flat out hasn't executed, period. The run game disappeared until a couple of big runs by Jones tonight, and Romo's been sloppy with the ball. You're not going to win games with a predictable defense and a sloppy ineffective offense that is based on establishing and maintaining the run and it can't do it.
Parcells hasn't won one playoff game, that's your argument? This franchise hasn't won a playoff game in 10 years, Are you going to blame the previous 6 years on him, too. Think playoff wins just magically materialize because we're the Dallas Cowboys and we won 3 Super Bowls in the early 90's and 2 in the 70's? Hope not, because you'll be sorely disappointed.
If you think there's one blasted coach out there that could have handled the ups and down as well as the personalities on this team coupled with the youth on both sides of the ball any better, name him and tell him to come on down.
