I moved to the Pacific Northwest 2 months ago, and I got a manager/bartending gig in the small logging town I live in. Listening to the locals tonight was interesting. Apparently, no one in the NFC that's left is competition. They believe they are Superbowl bound. I even heard that the Commanders, and Eagles were all that's left. I brought up Dallas, but they perceive the loss of Zeke to be our imminent doom. It's been interesting living in a community not packed with rabid Cowboys fans. As well as the homer fans of another team. I hope we play Seattle, in Seattle, and I'm there watching the beating.

So who is still a post season threat in the NFC? Admittedly, I didn't see much to suggest we would make a splash this year, but I hoped we'd turn on late, and it seems that's the case. My optimism is teetering on the fence.

Eagles, Cowboys, Rams and Vikes are the teams I'm looking at. I'm leery of the Saints, but haven't seen them play this year. I think the Vikes are underrated, and the fact they could have a home field Superbowl is fun.

So far only the Eagles and Wentz's passing abilities have impressed me, every other team in the hunt looks very beatable on any given Sunday (including Dallas). The hardest part for the Cowboys will be surviving their schedule and making the playoffs. After that, luck and a few bad officiating calls will determine who gets to the Superbowl.

I'll reserve my Eagles respect until they play us. Wentz and Zeke were the only two players in our reach (during draft time) that I wanted. He's going to be great. However, Dak is far better than I presumed. He has areas of opportunity, but not 4th rd draft areas. He's playing like a first rd pick, if not better. It's an interesting season, and I'm hoping we can build on that KC game. If we can, this team is on paper, a superior team compared to last year. They just got to show up, and execute.

The best part is Bill Murrays face smack dab in the middle of Yoda. I agree with you. NFC until we play Phili, goes thru Phili, then Atlanta. I can't wait to play the sheagles.

Funny because I’ve not worried about that team for a couple of years now. They’ve gotten by with a division who has been pretty bad for the most part lately. Their defense isn’t the same, their offense is dependent on Wilson bailing them out play after play and they aren’t the same team on the road. They can certainly compete on any given Sunday, but a SB contender they are not.

I’m waiting to reserve judgement on the Eagles until we play them. We’ll have a clear view of where the season is headed after that home game.

The Cowboys are the team that no one will want to face in the playoffs. Zeke will be rested, and the Cowboys’ running game travels in January.

Either the Eagles or Cowboys will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this year. I think Dallas match’s up poorly with the Panthers, hopefully we don’t draw them in the playoffs.

The Saints have played nobody and have a suspect defense. The Vikings are playing with their third quarterback. Seattle has no offense and key injuries in defense. Panthers are an above average team.

You work with a bunch of 15 year old kids? Seahawks fans. :muttley:

Ask them how they feel about Richard Sherman being out for the season after last night's game. Still Superbowl bound?

I haven't seen the Steelers play all that much but I deem them underwhelming as compared to where their placement in the last power rankings I saw:thumbdown:

Seahags aren't good, they are still living on a dated reputation and loud talking.
Wilson is good but he's a chucker. Most of his highlights this year have been broken plays and Hail Marys that his WRs have been able to come up with. The game plan is still the same, keep him the pocket and he can't get the team down the field. Lose containment and DBs get lost and he will chuck one over your head. Their D is still soft and getting softer without Thomas and Sherman. I'm not sure they make the playoffs so for them to talk SB seems a bit silly. They aren't very good. They lost to the skins already, they lose to us, which they SHOULD, and they could be out of controlling their own fate. Looking at their schedule they may only have 2-3 more wins.

The Panthers traded their best WR and their TE Olsen is hurt and out for the year. They struggle to score points and 20 points for them is like 35 for Dallas. They can run and stop the run, but they barely win against average teams every week. Cam looks like an average QB. They play in a weak division as does the New Orleans. I have no clue how good NO truly is. I remain suspicious that they are not as good as their record.
Same for the Rams.

Philly took a big step towards winning the East and home field yesterday in a NY court room yesterday.

When healthy, the ‘Skins are a good team. But some of their stars are hurt and may or may not be back this year at a high level of play.

If we can win 10 or 11 games somehow, we have as good of a shot as anyone. We should forget Philly for now and try to focus on winning without Zeke.

Seattle is a good but not great team that still as OL issues. A back up QB put up some good stats last night in AZ and Seattle only managed 14 first downs. They are very beatable.

In summary, we win 10 and we are very likely in. Get Zeke running and we play well on the road. Anything is possible.

whoever the nfc sends to the superbowl will have to beat either the steelers or the pats which ever team that gets the best qb play and the breaks is the team that will end up in the superbowl in the nfc the qb play except for a few teams is really bad

They took some big hits tonight.

Yeah they did. Especially in their secondary. And now Sherman is done for the year. His loss is huge. And any decent quarterback would have made them pay for that loss. Stanton is not one of those. How and why he's playing over Gabbert baffles me.

But the Seahawks are ALL on Russell Wilson. Nothing if he's not saving them at every turn. They're deeply flawed. And I believe that their schedule gets tougher from here on too. They need to worry about scrambling to even get into the playoffs rather than about who they might face.
