Seahawks officially have released defensive end Red Bryant and wide receiver Sidney Rice, the team announced.

Love me some Red Bryant....and singing a good 1 tech for something like 3 years 12 mil isn't hurting the team at all. Just as long as we actually take d lineman in the draft this year.

I'm not so sure, will be 30, will take up a roster spot to hold up progress of a younger more long term player.
Is he really a difference maker to put us over the top [but would a rookie be too]. Or is he a player that had a good season due to players around him, and will want to cash in on a SB win, like a Larry Brown, and others.

Do we have any "young" "in the wings" that would be held back? I dont think theres anyone on the roster that would be held back as far as development. I liked him coming out of college, I just dont know if hes still got enough in the tank to be worth what he wants to be paid. If its a Cowboys friendly deal I say sure untill I know wether he will be holding back an up and comer. I just dont think we have anyone that he will be taking valuable reps from that would make a difference.

They can't fill every hole through the draft, having said that I'd rather seem them spend FA $$ on Linval Jospeh or Ziggy Hood if anyone as a one-tech.
