Seahawks signed WR Antonio Bryant, formerly of the Bengals.
It's not clear if the Bryant acquisition will preclude the Seahawks from also signing Braylon Edwards, though we suspect the team would have held off if the latter was impressive in Thursday's workout. Following the release of Mike Williams, the team was seeking a receiver with starting experience to complement a green receiving corps. Now 31 years old and nearly three years removed from his last NFL reception, Bryant won't be guaranteed a roster spot. He was admittedly out of shape during a June tryout.

He's still in the league???

Yeah, no kidding.

Last I heard he was in Cincy, wasn't he?

I know he had some good games while in Tampa a while back.

This catch was unreal.

He messed up his knee and was never the same. Got lazy, gained some weight.

Guy had a ton of talent, just was never able to bring any discipline to his personal and professional life. Throwing a jersey in the Tuna's face was the dumbest thing he could have done for his career.

Good luck with that.

:laugh2:

perfect example of the old axiom "million dollar body and 10 cent brain."

I didn't realise it had already been 3 years since he was playing in the league. Wow.

Normally that kind of stuff comes from ESPN. Do you work for ESPN?

He had huge upside for us and made some nice plays in his time here. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes.

Degenerative knee condition forced him out of the league. Seahawks worked out Braylon Edwards earlier in the day and decided to sign the guy who's been out of the league 3 years instead, that can't be good for Edwards.

Sound familiar?

But Dez is not the head case Tony Fingers was. Tony was an enigma you couldn't put your finger on what needed to be done to straighten that kid out at least Dez's issues are obvious and can be controlled if not corrected.

I always liked this guy. I had high hopes for him while he was here. I wish him luck (except when he plays us)

This kid had amazing talent, TWO TIME Biletnikoff Award winner in college. It is sad to see how he wasted his talents and all because of a hot head.

Nobody cares about a former Bengal on a Cowboys forum.

He only won it once. The second sophomore in history to win it.

I wonder if he realizes that he squandered a dream life and career away.

When you're a Jerry Jones drafted kid, treat Jerry well and he'll take care of you for life.

He'll probably waste all his NFL money away by age of 40.

he did not have amazing talent. Megatron has amazing talent. He was always over rated by many here physically. Dez easily has more.
