When/If the Seahawks lose to the Chargers, they will be 8-7. He's saying that usually teams don't win their division at 9-7.

That got me curious

10 teams since 1980 have clinched division @ 9-7 (as recently as Jets-2002 & Seattle-1999 & 2004)
