Seahawks vs. 49ers Game thread...

WOW... John Clayton is interviewing Frank Gore on ESPN right now.

Someone was asking about a profile shot of Clayton. His hair is embarrassing. You know how bald guys get the horseshoe? His horseshoe pattern starts a few inches behind his ears :laugh2:

sorry. typo. i meant "win" a division

The "huh" still applies.

In recent years, a division champion has been 9-7 in 1999, 2001 and 2004

Two of those years, Seattle did it.

my bad then. I don't keep up with every division, every year. and regardless, my point still applies. it's pathetic.

When/If the Seahawks lose to the Chargers, they will be 8-7. He's saying that usually teams don't win their division at 9-7.

That got me curious

10 teams since 1980 have clinched division @ 9-7 (as recently as Jets-2002 & Seattle-1999 & 2004)
1 team @ 8-8
1 team @ 9-6
1 team @ 9-6-1

Seahawks play the Chargers next weekend. I don't think I've ever seen a 9-7 team in a division. Pathetic.

you new to the real world? let me introduce you to parity.
