And it's true. Lee has an amazing ability to bring down the world's best runners with mere finger-tips.

He can bring the wood, but so often he doesn't have to. I swear he could bring a ball-player down with a single gesture...maybe a mere word.

He's the football equivalent of Anthony Hopkins playing Ford in Westworld.

Lee is a great LB and if he is healthy is one of the best in the NFL.

Lee has had chronic injuries while in Dallas. Give me a break.
The fact that you have to wax eloquent about Lee now, in 2016, speaks volumes.
He has been sporadic until this year. Don't kid yourself.
It seems naive and starry-eyed to carry on this way bout a superstar player who has never been around long enough to claim that mantle.
Blimey, lay off of Lee, go down to the Rose and Crown and get a pint before they close.

He provides the eloquence with his balling. I'm just jotting it down to help you out with the cliff notes.

He's been not only the cowboys best defensive player in a great many games, but has been named NFC player of the week about half dozen times.

What other Cowboy player has done that in the past decade? Ware, maybe. Maybe.

He's had his injuries no doubt. When he's on the field he's lights out. I guess you've been snoozing.

And as they say...you snooze, you lose.

Oh and this...In 2011 Lee was NFC Defensive Player of the Month. He was the first Cowboys player in franchise history to win the award.

Oh...and there's this...5th in all the NFL this year in tackles...despite the fact that the Cowboys defense has been on the field as little as any team in the league.

He's the most irreplaceable player on the roster IMO.

That's a bold statement...but perhaps a true one. Losing Lee from this defense might constitute a 5-8 point swing in points allowed.

If we lost Dak we'd have Tony. Zeke's loss would be pretty big...right up there with Lee, perhaps.

Without Lee, Dak doesn't even get a shot at redemption late in the Philly game. We flat lose that game without him. His pivotal tackle for 6 yard loss pushes the Eagles out of game-sealing field goal range - and the guy was everywhere in that game. 11 Tackles and 2 for a loss.

Yup that's how I see it too.

This team has quality depth at key positions. But LB is very thin and the dropoff from Lee to any other LB on the roster is significant.

I remember when he came in finally healthy to start his second year. (He literally played only a few meaningless snaps his rookie season.) But in his sophomore campaign, he was the starting Mike week 1 in a brand new and deficient Rob Ryan scheme. He instantly became an impact. By his second game that season i started thinking that he might very well be our best defensive player already. Ahead of Ware. Lee has done nothing but elevate my perception of him since that time.

Lee is my favorite player. I can only hope he continues to improve and stay healthy and he can get a ring or two before it's all said and done and then come coach. Same for Tony and Witten.

I love defense and I'm reviewing yesterday's game and if you have a chance to see it check a defensive play made by Lee with about 1:30 left in the first q. Cleveland has a TE screen called which is a perfect play call against our safety blitz. Lee is on an island faced with having to make a play to fight through 3 charging linemen flared out to block for the TE. The play looks like it's going for major yardage however Lee takes on and takes out 2 of the 3 linemen on his own and rolls over to take out the TE's legs to make the tackle. Probably one of the best defensive plays I have seen all year. Dude is definitely all pro this year. If he would have been healthy these last several years no doubt could be potential HOF. Love me some healthy Lee

I am glad you pointed to that specific play.

On my re-watch, I kept rewinding and making my wife watch the greatness of Sean Lee.

Going to be real interesting to see how much longer Lee can lead the team in tackles and not draw a flag this season. So far he's gone 8 games.

2 true statements. The rest cumberbont, bloke.
His injuries and missed games and a missed season are a matter of record, mate. THIS year it's different.
Thus: Its about time he lived up to hype and earned his paycheck.
So save me the resume until he plays unhurt the whole year like most pedestals-dwelling idols!

When you play linebacker or the middle you are SUPOSED to record a lot of tackles, even an old fellow like you would rack up some.
Oh ...and there's this...chronic injuries and he whole time he has been here.
Last year he looked lost as RBs and some receivers blew past him.So don't give me this GOAT schtiff business.
Now go to your room and finish that altar for Lee!
Oh, and this ...your avatar once yanked and traded Eugene Lockhart, leading tackler on the Cowboys, because he knew, unlike you, the maxim of being a linebacker and recording lots of tackles ...
