LONDON (105.3 THE FAN) — Sean Lee had plans.

Not just plans for the Dallas Cowboys 2014 campaign — which he figured would be a breakout season for him as a Pro Bowl-caliber middle linebacker — but more specifically, plans for the team’s ongoing visit to London, where the Cowboys play the Jaguars on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.

“Oh, it was all mapped out,’’ Lee tells me in an exclusive interview. “One of my good friends is Paul Posluszny of the Jaguars. So we were going to go at it in the game, of course, but at some point we were also going to find some London pub and hang out a little bit.’’

Sheesh, way to burry the lede. Here's the money quote from that whole article:

He’s doing all this while also being aware of Dallas’ plan to shift him from middle linebacker to weakside as a way to accommodate the hoped-for retention of Rolando McClain, a Cowboys signing in the wake of Lee’s injury that has worked out brilliantly for Dallas.

“We haven’t talked about that officially, but I’m aware of it, and it sounds great,’’ Lee tells me. “You know, whatever needs to be done to help us win, I’ll do. Weakside linebacker is an important spot in the sense that all 11 positions on defense are important. I just want to be a part of it and will feel blessed to be a part of it.’’

I have no problem with Lee staying in Dallas working and doing his rehab. I just hope he can get himself back in the lineup and remain there.

Yeah I'm not complaining about it. I just know that if it were me, it would be hard to pass up this opportunity. I <3 international travel.

Maybe that is why he didn't go because in his mind it would be more like a vacation and as he said he has no time for vacation. if that approach is how he sees it then I have no issues with it. My only concern for Lee is to get healthy and be able to remain healthy something he has been unable to do. Granted not by his own choice.

I had to look up 'lede."

And honestly that's just the title I noticed on reddit, where I found the article

Oh, you did just what I would have done. I was talking about the journalist. Or the editor here. Whoever titled the article about a vacation when they had a juicy tidbit about Lee/McClain and WIL/MIKE.

I just thot the writer half mispelled Leeds as in the Englitch city.

I hope to God he can stay health over the next 3 or 4 years. He and Mcclain would be as formidable a combo of LBs as you can find in the NFL. Esp with someone like Brent protecting them.

One hasn't played in 2 years, one is a China doll and the other could decide to retire in 5 minutes. sounds formidable.

I just don't understand why these players aren't coming to CowboysZone to ask for advice in their day to day lives.
I'm sure we could give better advice than they can come up with themselves.

Ummmmm....okay?

He's got the heart of Tarzan but the body of Jane. In all seriousness, I appreciate his dedication to his craft. The guy deserves a healthy season.
