Sean Lee will wear #50

#50 is a good fit.

That #54 jersey could use a little rest.

50 is good. Nice historic number for a boys backer.

We are so loaded it should be a great year.

Yep, between Carpenter and D-Ham, that number has taken a beating lately.

But I do like 50 a lot.

I can't remember too many Dallas backers who wore #50 other than maybe Jeff Rohrer?

D.D. Lewis is the most notable, along with Jerry Tubbs.

Others to wear it include LBs Steve Hendrickson, Dave Harper, Bobby Abrams, Darrick Brownlow, Brandon Tolbert and Justin Rogers. Clay Shiver also wore it, but played center.

D.D. Lewis and Jerry Tubbs are the top two who wore 50.

I could be wrong, but I remember a Parcells era LB wearing it.

Shanle maybe?

Akin Ayodele wore 50 his first year with the Cowboys, then switched to 51 after that. Also Scott Fujita before that for a year or 2 I believe.

I like it too!

I'll like it even better when/if I see it all over the field making plays for us.

When I read it initially D.D. Lewis came to mind immediately. Still When I see 55 I think of Jordan and 72 will always be Jones. 33 will forever be Dorsett and 12 will always be Staubach.

Guess you can tell which era I grew up in. Those were the boys I cut my teeth on.

With any luck, "50" will always be Lee. ;)

Then again, since the anniversary logo is going to be on every home and away jersey, every player will wear a #50 this year.

What is your spicier alternative? Something in the 90's?

54. I say we keep giving it to pale linebackers until we get it right. ;)
