Sean Lee

My biggest worry with Lee is his ability to stay healthy. He seems to get ding up quite frequently, even had to go to the lockroom once today.

I don't know how you don't start playing him over Brookings. Brookings was ok last year, very poor this year.

yhea, that was supposed to be his liability - the pass!

Well, the Cowboys gave up 365 yards passing today, so whatever fault Lee had, it was endemic to the team. Maybe Wade's scheme was holding Lee back.

Insane, when he gets chances he makes INSANE plays. Guys the best rookie on this team, and we got Dez, McCann and Brent contributing so that says alot.

Im the biggest Lee fan on this board.. i've followed him since he started at PSU when i was there, and i've always said if he got a chance here and he was healthy he'd be a beast.

That being said, its one game. He made a couple nice plays, but he has work to do. The beauty is, no one knows that more than him, and he's going to be a guy who busts his *** all week long, all offseason, he's going to put in the work in the film room, etc.. he'll do whatever it takes to be great. Very tough, smart, blue coller guy. I have no doubt when its all said and done he'll have a very solid career. I don't know if he'll ever be an All Pro, but he'll at the very least be a Dat Nguyen, Dan Morgan type player. I can't wait to see him play next week. Kid's a monster.

He's not better than Dez though.

It's great to see Lee make plays and Dallas desperately needs a play maker there but disappointing to see all the Brooking hate. Brooking plays with everything he's got but it seems it is age catching up with him not a lack of desire.

Can't just be a passing of the guard or results of good mentoring by James and Brooking it has to be bad mouthing of a player.
This place will never change.

This guy is the every down rock of the defense for years. What a player. Athleticism and instinct combined with the desire to play hard. Nice second round choice for sure.
Every down? He gets hurt every game.

Great instincts and talent, but I think we need to see some toughness before we can give him that sort of praise.

Lee is just a rookie, but if he doesn't take Brooking's job soon it's going to start to stink just like Miles on the bench last year, and Choice on the bench this year. You gotta play the guy who performs.

Another epic Phillips fail. Guy was terrified to play his young players.

It would be interesting to see what Garret does with the Barber and Brooking situation. If he decides to stick with them as starters, then I would be very disappointed. If he doesn't start them then that shows me that he does have what it takes to be a HC.

Barber and Brooking need to be benched indefinitely but will Garrett do it... HELL NO because he is spineless just like Wade. He is worried about hurting players feelings just like Wade was..the ole "we will always have the best players out on the field" is a tired saying in the Cowboys organization because they never follow it... NEVER

Cowboys may have finally hit on a second rounder.

couldn't agree more. Brookings was a favorite last year and now due to age everyone bad mouths him. Well none of us take the punishment he takes on the daily and I'm willing to bet no one on here over 35 can do the things they did at 25. He is still expected to perform as a 20 something in a league and position that has an average of about 5 years. I'm 45 now and my kids look at pictures of me when I was in my 20's and bodybuilding and ask what happened as my nephews tell them how big I was. Well here it is... I got older. plain and simple. Brooking is still a decent player just not everydown anymore. We could still have Carp there if you all would like. give the guy a break and consider this the passing of the torch or some other positive, he is playing his best which is all anyone can ask of him. it still remains everyone on here is talking bad about him but what was the last team any of us played for? Damn sure wasn't in the NFL.

He shouldn't start until his ST play improves.

This kid was a steal, at least Wade got us him in the draft, but of course Wade didn't play and analyze him early on because of injuries....he makes plays. Runs to the ball always and tries to impact the game. Seriously, when do we ever have inside linebackers trying to make things happen on the ball with this athletic nature.

Just a pet peeve post..

If you are going to mention Keith Brooking in this thread, especially if you are defending his tenure in the NFL and how he's always played the game the right way and has been a solid player for us up until now..

please get his name right at least.

For the 13,000 time, he was not hurt today. It was an equipment issue.

What you mean?

Lee had two receptions today and one went for a TD.

Thats more than what Bryant had today.

I'm kidding.........

Actually...Just posted this in the Daily zone

*Lee hurt his shoulder in the second half and left the game briefly. He got some extra padding under his shoulder pads and later returned.
