I love the guy but it seems as though he lost about a half a step last year. His anticipation makes him a great player. I would think we've got at least 2 years to find a replacement and another year or two to transition.
we need to be looking at drafting a new LBer IMO
Yeah, he was on the short list for best linebacker in football.Lost a step? He had the best season of his career and was All Pro
I'm not sure an upgrade for the 2016 version of Lee exists. The Cowboys need to start thinking about upgrading Lee, Witten, and Dez when the opportunity presents itself.

2-3 years. After that, he could fill the role of the MLB and spend more time focusing on just the run.

A guy hits 30 and way too many are chomping at the bit to replace him. Believe me, the staff will see the handwriting on the wall when the time is right to consider drafting his replacement. The depth we currently have is better than we've had in years, so no need to jump the gun here.
Which has everything with play recognition, anticipation, and prep. Some of the best LB's in history weren't the fastest players. Lee was a touch slower reaching the outside in coverage last year.Lost a step? He had the best season of his career and was All Pro
