He appeared to re-injure his hamstring.

He limped around and was wrapping it on the sidelines. It was not long before they put in the backups so I don't know if he could have finished the game.

Hopefully, it was an injury unrelated to his hammy, but it's not looking likely. Man...if modern technology could ever advance enough to infuse Witten's durability genes with Sean Lee's LB ability, we'd be set for awhile.

We've had good, bad and sometimes great LB play out of that corps but never consistent play. I'd rather have consistently good play than a mixture of great/bad play with no middle ground.

Thanks for sharing, not that I'm glad to hear it but threw you a 'like' for the heads up on #50,,, what's the word on #5?,what's the
"Average" turn around / recovery with a groin pull?
And for a kicker to boot, man! We might not see him back for awhile:(

Has to be at least 2 weeks if not more (not that I was a great Soccer player, but it took me 4-5 weeks to recover from a pulled groin muscle). Since we'll have to lose a roster spot (crossing fingers for Kellen) for his temporary replacement, might as well sit him out until we're dang sure he's good because a groin pull effects a kicker/soccer play more than I think it would a non-kicking athlete. I'm no doctor, but I've studied under "Doc50" on this board...so close enough.

Copy! Thanks and under Doc50's tutelage I'm thinking no less than 4 weeks, they are so easy to re- aggravate it could be much longer,,, we should hear something by Wednesday.

According to Spagnola, it wasn't the hammy. It was the thigh. Spag thinks he got kneed and has a bad bruise.

That's what it looked like to me, the way he was limping. Bone or muscle bruise. Plus, he played on it a bit. Would have come out straight away if it were a tear.

EDIT: And here's his post-game quote: "I feel great. It’s nice to be back,” he said. “It’s frustrating not being out with the guys, especially because I’ve dealt with a lot of missed time. So it’s fun to be back. Great win for us.” Sounds like he's ok.

Fantastic news if that's what it is , he ( or you or I)
Could acclimate to that pain pretty quick , and press on,,, quicker than a groin muscle pullo_O

Edit: DOH' ,,,I'm stuck on the #5 damage,,, #50 is certainly of concern though and I'm very much (drunk) appreciative to hear it's not a hamstring issue again with LEE

I noticed the same thing. He's had lots of injuries and when the knees start to give out other muscle groups which have to compensate start
to have problems. No one can fault Sean's devotion and effort toward the game but, his body is going to end his career early. Time to find and
develop some replacements.

Lee played a series after he limped off. During that series he was walking around and running without a noticeable limp.

I imagine if it was anything serious or worrisome, he would have been pulled then, considering the game was essentially over at that point.
