Listening to his interview after the game last night it sounds like he may be taking less snaps going forward due solely to the emergence of Jaylon, Thomas, Wilson and LVE. I think he will be the “starter” but others will play more downs.

Makes sense. At his age and with his injury history, take some weight off him and get more from him for longer.

I think this is a good plan for Lee. We get scored on when he isn't on the field though. Its eerie.

I'm tired of you taking shots at our players.

I'll take a shot, 54 is pulling the wool over a lot of peoples eyes. He's make a few plays, and I hope he continues to get better. I appreciate his heart and determination, but he looks like he has a disability and it's concerning to watch at times.

Fine with that, now that we have depth.
Let him rest and get #55 on the field more.

I'm not seeing that at all. He looked very quick and active last night. He had 10 tackles and pressure Eli a few times on blitzes.

Well Lee is our slowest LBer and has looked slow to start the season so, as good as he is, it makes sense that we'd see some of those other guys in passing situations.

Two weeks with, effectively, no preseason time is too small of a sample, but he does not look like a 3-down LB right now.

They seem to be doing to LB what they do with the DL. They seem to be taking guys and using them in sub packages that take advantage of their strengths. Its nice to see different LB that can do different things adequately that they are not a liability when in the game.

You must’ve been watching the Giants #54.

honestly as much as I love Sean Lee I think father time is beginning to knock and he don't exactly have a squeaky clean resume in terms of injury history. I've seen him miss more tackles thus far or not be in position more than i ever have

now I get the no preseason snaps story but I think its more than that so getting others more snaps so we can be a quality team on defense when he isn't on the field i support

Week 2 and he tweaked a hammy. Nothing bad but pulled him for precaution. LVE played good. Had no trouble tackling barkley. We know Wilson can play. I think this his last year on contract. Would resign him if he took a good team friendly deal.

Rico?

Like I said before when Leighton came in and it was him and Jaylon, Cam stopped running wild. Lee is great and if it was last year we should be worried but this year we have upgraded. Younger and faster, that will allow us to rest Lee way much more and perhaps he won't feel the burden to carry all the load

i would to. right now we have lee, LVE, jaylon and joe thomas for next year. i'd sign the cheaper of wilson or march-lilard and draft someone to develop.

Good plan. If he only plays 65% of the snaps but makes it through 16 games, it's well worth it. I'd rather have an average Sean Lee in limited snaps for 16 games than a great Lee for 12 games.

Hard to beat an ice cold Shiner draft. I love my Texas beer.
:)

Dallas is somewhat attempting to micromanage football injuries and accumulative stresses. Sorry guys, there is only so much 'smart' management to football...and if a player doesn't stay in the stress, well, he loses an edge and slows down.
