Salisbury was on a local radio sports show today. He said that the NFC east is wide open due to all of the Cowboys injuries. Believes that if the Cowboys weren't injured as much they would run away with the a division possibly by the 12 or 13th week of the season. Thinks Bradford will be benched by the 8th game and Chip Kelly is a good x and o coach but not good at personnel decisions. Compared Bradford to blue trout( I think that is the fish) with his mouth and eyes wide open. Did not think he should have been the #1 pick in the year that he was drafted. Did not seem to flattering about the Eagles. Seemed encouraged about the Cowboys. Joked that if he played behind this OL he might be HOF but then paused and said nah no one could make me that good.

Walt Disney was a vivid creator with much real success...but that doesn't apply to the NFL over a weekly basis.

You are what you are as it is happening.

There is much standard yet to be met...and that is real also.

There is talent, but somewhat a headless horseman at present.

If the schedule wasn't as hard as it was I would agree with him, even with the injuries. They have the Patriots, Giants, Seahawks and Eagles in 4 consecutive games. If the team was healthy, I think 6-2 was easily attainable. As it is, 4-4 would be a success I will be pretty happy if they are 5-4 going into the Miami game with Romo coming back, but nobody should kid themselves. It's an uphill battle

I always likeed Salisbury. I don't know why, but I liked the way he told it like it was. Then he got canned for flirting or something.

That is a name I haven't heard for a while. Maybe he will get another TV gig some day.

hes not wrong. but nothing you can do in sports but sit and wait. Today we are mad at the team, if they fire back and beat the Saints, everyone goes back in the hall. If the Saints carve us up, than you have to take a long hard look at everything. At this point or possibly the Pats loss, you have to consider the season over.

Salisbury just needs to focus on keeping his current job by not showing cell pics of his junk to coworkers. He's 0h for the last two on that ...

I agree with everything but the Chip Kelly bit.

I have a hard time believing anybody is a great "X's and O's" coach if he thinks running plays fast equals offensive success in the NFL.

What he is saying is true, but every season, you have to reinvent your team. These guys can't get trapped by the lore of last year and their the headline love they're getting, and start playing gritty football again. It's been a sloppy start that could easily be 0-3, and especially with these injuries, they have to clean it up.

At the same time, the coaches and front office have to be ready to make some quick decisions as needed. I'm talking Weeden/Cassel, McFadden/Michael, Leary/Collins, Wilber/Wilson, Street/somebody-off-the-street...whatever is hanging in the balance. You can't wait to long to get these things right.

But all in all, I think Dallas is still the team to beat. That's tenuous, however.

I'm so tired of hearing this from the media regarding the Dallas OL, they're pretty damn good at times, but they're nowhere near as good as the ridiculous hype that's been bestowed upon them. And Salisbury sucks...

9-7 will be good enough to win the NFCE this year. In fact 8-8 might be good enough. If Dallas wins 3 games out of @NO, @NYG, PHI, @TB that probably enough to win the division. Winning just the 2 division games might be enough.

Pee Wee Herman endorses this post.

it don't matter because none of these four teams are going to beat the cardinals or packers or falcons at home. they will be one and done in the playoffs

I give up.
