Sean Taylor in Pro Bowl

maybe Roy should of let T-New have some of those so he could of gone to the pro bowl instead of D-Hall.

Yes, a safeties job is to stop and "let" the CB get the int.

I can see it now, Roy stops, but Newman trips, the WR catches the ball and goes 40 yards untouched for the TD.

Maybe Taylor should quit pulling on facemasks and hitting people late and actually do his job?

Pure homerism.

So it's "too early" to call Taylor a bust, but it's ok to call Gallery a bust eventhough he's been in the league an equal amount of years?

Nice double standard there.

For the record, I agree Gallery is a bust. But so is Taylor. That doesn't mean they will ALWAYS be busts. They can BOTH turn it around and play up to their draft spots, but as of right now? Both are busts.

Dude, trust me a not a homer. Coaches have not switched Taylor's position's, they have not benched him, Taylor has only really struggled with the pro game this year. Gallery has not looked good at all in the NFL. He was supposed to be the all important franchise LT.

Taylor has struggled every year he's been in the league. He just happened to struggle MORE this year.

That is a low blow! :(

How about we trash the eagles instead...? You said you wanted to...so go for it!

He's got name recognition. Not really a surprise. What FS would have gone otherwise?

Exactly.. Its a 2/3 popularity contest.. Fans like him (in VA) and obviously players respect his game.. He might not have a brain.. but he is probably the most Talented Safety to play the postion..

Dont confuse talent and skill....

Keep in mind I didn't say he sucked (well, he DID suck bigtime this year though). I said he's been a bust. That means he hasn't played up to his draft status. Do YOU honestly believe he's played like a #5 pick in the draft is expected to play?

Just for the record, hate has nothing to do with it. Greg Ellis is a bust too IMO. No way has he played like a top 10 pick is expected (although he's been better over his career for the cowboys then Taylor has been for the SKins so far).

Wasn't Roy picked 8th? He might be my favorite cowboy BUT If you are a top 10 pick thats a DB you shouldnt be getting toasted by Jeremey Stevens...

Your picked there to change games not to blow them.. Id give up all the big hits for a solid cover safety.

That's not what he was picked for.

Sean Taylor and Fred Thomas. 1a & 1b with 11 TDs given up each.

How can you lead the league in TDs given up and go to the pro bowl.

You know, ive read that too. I would just like to know where you got that and how they go about deciding if a player gave up a certain TD or not. Also if rushing TDs are included. Not saying its wrong or anything.

There is no debate. Williams has some weaknesses (as do all players) but he's leaps and bounds better then Taylor.

And there you got ladies and gentlemen. Rack has ended this debate once and for all.

The stats come from STATS LLC who record stats for the NFL

Its a bird, its a plane, wait... no...its super toast. Come on bro, they both have issues.

Leaps and bounds ?

Please dont say based on Probowls. Wouldnt that just be ironic.

Picked up out of an article a little while back. Article sited Stats INC.......pretty sure thats the same company that ESPN uses to get their stats. I've looked for a place where you could view any stat you wanted but haven't found it......

Only for those that know how to listen.

Yes, leaps and bounds.

And the probowl has nothing to do with it. Hell, just as a PURE COVER MAN Roy is better then Taylor. And that is sad. Roy isn't bad in coverage (despite what many ignorant people may think). He's average in coverage. The bad thing is average cover men look horrible when you don't get tot he QB. They also look great when you DO get to the QB (look no further then the Eagles DBs, with the exception of Dawkins, they are all no better then average).

I don't know for sure, but I think Taylor has more personal fouls then INTs. That's pretty sad.

I think we know a little something about not getting to the QB. Haha Taylor could of had like 6-8 interceptions and still had more personal fouls....wow. Something that was leaps and bounds better was your pash rush compared to ours. Just one year i would like for our defense to be in the top 10 in sacks to see what Taylor could really do.
