I guess I thought it was unusual for us to play back to back to back NFC East games in a row, but actually, it is quite common, in fact, almost every year it happens.
The last time we swept a 3 game series vs NFCE opponents was 1998(Phi 34-0; NYG 16-6; Arz 35-28)...we lost to the Cardinals in the 1st round that year.
In 1995, we actually played 5 straight games vs the NFC East...L to Was 17-24; L to Phi 17-20; W vs NYG 21-20; W vs Arz 37-13; then W vs Phi 30-11 in 1st round of playoffs. This is the year we beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl.
In 1994, we went 4-0 in consecutive weeks by beating Was, Phi, and Arz twice. We lost to SF in the NFC Championship game.
In 1993, we went 3-0 by beating Phil, NYG, and Arz only one week earlier than this year. On Thanksgiving, two weeks later, that is when Leon Lett pulled is snow-sliding act vs Miami. This year, we beat Buffalo in the Super Bowl.
In 1992, we opened the year with 3 straight wins vs NFCE opponents (Was, NYG, Phoenix), then lost to Philly to go 3-1. We beat Buffalo in the Super Bowl this year as well.
This all means nothing today, but just for kicks.
