Where do people shop? And are you buying organic?

I've seen cherries, just not organic, I bought some peaches, and they have yet to ripe.

I shop many places. Grocery, whole foods, road side stands, etc.

I used to worry about getting organic but now I'm more focused on quality. I'll take good quality conventional over rock hard organic. Most importantly, I want the produce to have travelled the least amount of distance possible to get to me.

Luckily, my in-laws own a fruit and vegetable farm :)

We get white peaches, grapefruits, pears, all kinds of berries, different types of lettuce and veggies at our liking. They have the best red potatoes that I have ever had, taste like butter.

When in Cali, we love to drive between San Fran and Fresno and hit all of the local fruit stands.......much better than the grocery stores.

A few weeks ago I tried Pacific Rose apples for the first time and they were the best apples I have ever had. Thin-skinned, sweet, very juicy with a great mix of apple and tropical fruit flavor, really amazing. I checked the history of this apple and apparently it's fairly new, only been around 10 years or so. I don't know much about the seasonality of the Pacific Rose apples, started to see a them about 6-8 weeks ago, but haven't seen them again for the last couple weeks.

I love all kinds of fruit and berries but only if they are organically grown. We just won't eat anything grown with standard agricultural poisons. That's why we almost never eat out.
