We won by 14 sir. It was frustrating that it wasn't more, but following the blocked FG the Cowboys won every statistic save for garbage time passing yards.

14 points created by a lucky special teams play, and an offensive mistake on its last leg drive. If you want to count on that sort of luck against an actual playoff ready football team, good for you, sir. I will continue to not jump for joy that we beat the Commanders, barely.

For the sake of a positive, I'm really loving the pass rush. If we can keep the core together, and add depth at corner and LB next year, we may be on to something.

A Commanders decimated by injury, it should be noted. Good win, but the Cowboys should have done more imo. First half defense was terrible 0.0

This luck you refer to balances out some bogus and missed calls by the officials, so it's all good. Dallas had two more TD's out there today that were taken from them. A win is a win in the NFL, no matter how you get them and who you get them against.

The Commanders o-line was made up of ex dish washers
What a load....every starter was with them all season. Backup C who has started at Guard, backup LT who has played before, backup guard. Starting RT and OG. We played some games last year with 2 backups. Leary was playing because Collins was injured; Green played for Tyron and later for Free.

That’s football. Dallas is better than Washington. That’s not a surprise.

So did the Commanders. Their receivers dropped perfectly thrown balls for big plays and TD's (our corners were way off in coverage). If you read correctly, I believe I stated "We'll all take the win." I'm just not pumped about it. Missed calls on both teams.

Well, to be fair, we played B squad football most of the game. We'll all take the win, but most of us know, deep down this team is not playing play-off worthy football. After 20+ years of watching mediocrity, yeah, there's going to be a lot of eye rolling, complaining, and pessimism. It's well deserved.

Really happy their receivers were dropping balls like the days of puberty. This game could have easily gone the other direction.
Yup, pouring rain but 169 yards on the ground, 5 sacks, a couple forced turnovers and only allowing 49 rushing yards and refs who had it in for them but they still put up 30+ again.

Don't know how I manage to watch it.

Most team's get a lucky play or two to win games. How many tip passes lead to an interception, muffed punts lead to excellent field position? Drops and missing wide open throws killing drives, etc.

You could even say the Commanders were lucky the Cowboys dropped two INTs, missed a field goal, and got unfavorable offensive holding calls. It was a sloppy game with the weather, but the better team won.

All but one call by the officials was 100% justified. Our defense is part of our team, no? We struggles against a banged up team who's receivers dropped more balls than new years eve in New York.
How did the D struggle allowing only 7 points in the second half on a crap PI call? You'd think you'd say the offense struggled to get TDs and that kept the Skins in it.

Unfavorable holds? They were holds. Smith is playing hurt, and it showed. Whoever was on Collins was flying past him on every play almost. They held because they weren't doing well in pass coverage.

I don't either. Good thing their receivers couldn't catch a ball, and all but one old TE of theirs got injured.

It’s a sign of a character flaw. They exhibit that same “giving up” behavior throughout their lives. Not the type of folk you want to serve on the battlefield with.

You must be ignoring the overall context of lucky plays from my post if you're signaling out only holding. There were a few holds, but I'm not certain the one on Zeke's 3rd touchdown was really a hold.

Saying "it's over" is ridiculous, but it's equally ridiculous to be blindly happy as long as we pull out a win. Have you seen Cowboys football over the past 20 years? The same mistakes come back to haunt us every single time. This game was no different. A swiss cheese defense that gives up points at will, and an offense that stops itself. We shouldn't have been within one score at the end of the game.
We allowed 3 more points than the Vikings did against the Browns today... Yea I won't complain too much.

A) Using only stats to build your narrative is not a viable form of debate.

B) They lost two of their tight ends (one who is their best weapon) in the first half. Their receivers dropped huge plays. They still stayed in the game.

C) Hard to run the football with back-ups, and who's their running back?

D) Our secondary was out of position consistently (See rest of season games for more examples). We are fortunate they couldn't catch a ball, and lost their offenses best weapon. Thank God we actually generate pressure, now!

E) 99% of the holding penalties were justified. Collins played on his heels, Smith is playing hurt. It showed. Don't know why everyone is crying about the refs. There were bad calls and missed calls on both sides. We played sloppy football. I've seen worse!

F) The irony in a post complaining about complainers. They need to play better. I still love them! I went to my first game in 1983 in diapers! I've enjoyed all the ups and downs. I think a lot of us are just waiting to see a dominant game against anyone other than the 49ers! I was hoping it would be today. Stoked we won, and really hope we play better next week. We've got a tough stretch coming up, and The Sheagles are stiff arming us right now. I want to see some grit!

They won by 2 Td’s in a divisional game, on the road, in terrible weather conditions.

You don’t get to nitpick certain aspects of the game, but then dismiss when other posters nitpick certain things. That’s called being a hypocrite.

Rush defense was also good today, even though the Commanders barely tried in that regard.

Where were our missed calls?

Christ the first turnover should probably have been overturned.

The Cowboys turned the game on a dime with the blocked field goal.

We didn't play our best game and win going away with zero help. Stop with the "lucky" ****, it doesn't hold up.
