Anyone getting sick of hearing the media gush all over the Seahawks for stopping Steve Smith. 90% of the interviews I watch or hear on TV & radio are all about "No one stopped Steve Smith before you guys, how the heck did you do it?" or "You left Steve Smith speechless even though he had 200 yards the week before, how did ya do it?!" or "Steve Smith is God, how did you stop the almighty??!!"

Thanks a lot Chicago for being dumb enough to not focus your defense on him. Now Seattle looks like geniuses for being physical and keeping men back to cover him, meanwhile everyone forgets that the Cowboys just did this a few weeks ago and punked Steve Smith so bad that he got himself ejected from the game because of his frustration. It hurts even more because guys like Terence Newman got absolutely no respect for the Pro Bowl. I realize it was the NFC Championship, not the regular season, but man.... watch the games ya mediots, the Cowboys did just as good a job, if not better, than the Seahags.

Outside of one 35 yarder, the Washington Commanders shut Alexander down in week 4 also. He ended up with under 100 yards, but if he didn't get that big run, he would've ended up with 50-60 yards for the day.

Alexander has a tough time running against battle tested teams such as the teams in the NFC East.

They get "The love" because they are also on their way to the Superbowl and stopped Smith who was in their way.

Yeah, but they're making it sound like it was an impossible task. We did it right before the Playoffs when Carolina was in full postseason swing.

Uhmm Seattle is going to the superbowl. They're supposed to get all the luv.

That said, people was charging up Dallas all week saying that's how you have to play Smith. Alot of people talked up Newman in particular.

Seattle successfully implemented Dallas' game plan with a couple of twists. So what's the problem again?

I posted the transcript in the thread about the segment on NFL Live about it. That was all I read or heard about it. That one NFL Live segment. It's like the Cowboys game never happened.

Look, I know it's the Super Bowl, but don't ya have an ounce of loyalty to your team? Aren't you pissed that Newman was ignored when he was a shutdown corner and helped stop Smith that game?

That may have been your only source, but I saw several. They talked them up on the pre-game shows. Jimmy Johnson went on and on about it. Mike and Mike in the morning.

But seriously, Dallas got the credit it was due when we beat Car in reg season. And that's all that matters to me.

Put down the hatorade TBC... :D

I did notice a few times last night where they said that Seattle is the only team to have shut Smith down...

Most of these announcers don't do their homework it appears... it is easy to catch them almost weekly...

I heard him mention that as well. I even heard Aikman refer to Dallas as we a couple of times

You can always count on Aikman.

By the way, did anyone catch Irvin on ESPN's show? Did they have one? I'm curious if he represented seeing as how he's the biggest ex-Cowboy homer on TV right now.

Actually, to be fair, NE was the first team to shut him down, and GB did an even better job than we did.

Looks that way to me too but I've given up trying to predict today's NFL. Too many teams that are too close.

I hate to say it, but I am sort of rooting for the Bus and Cowher to win their first Super Bowl. I know they're the Steelers :enough: but Cowher is one of those coaches they film a close-up on while he's leading his players, and the guy starts to inspire me and makes me want to run out on he field and play for him! LOL Bus seems like a good dude. Just like him and Madden, I'd have my own personalized bus too. I hate flying!

Acutally during the game, Troy Aikman pointed out that the Cowboys were successful in shutting him down and got him so frustrated that he got himself kicked out.

To the Victor goes the Spoils....

When we get to the NFC Champi.....scratch that....when we get to Playoffs, we will probably get some love.

That's is how it works, the teams winning and making post-season get all the love and those who miss it get picked apart. Just the way it is. I don't take it personally.

For those who care, Dallas is getting the credit right now on Jim Rome's show during an interview as setting the blue-print for stopping Smith.
