Filed to ESPN: Seattle traded WR Deion Branch to New England for a fourth-round pick. Bet Tom Brady is happy.

Think they overpaid but oh well. He'll get utilized.

I think they took too little for Moss and paid too much for Branch.

Yet they are supposedly the best run organization anywhere.

They got too much for Moss at this stage of his career, and they definitely gave up too much for Branch. But both acquiring teams were desperate, and that's what happens when you need to make a trade happen.

im just going to point out that minny has now used a 1st and a 3rd on moss....

I don't know how they got too little out of Moss. In his first game back with Minny, with just a few days practice with Favre, caught 4 balls for 81 yards and a TD. It's not a huge game but it's not too bad at all for just a few days with his new QB.

Not to mention it was against probably the best defense in the entire league.

Patriots acquire WR Deion Branch from Seahawks for 4th-round pick
How is Randy Moss only one round better than Deion Branch? That doesn't make any sense.

But they traded Moss to Oakland for a 1st and 7th and Napoleon Harris (first round pick in 2002, started two seasons with Vikings at linebacker).

Sarcasm much??;)

Scott Pioli is in KC now and having a Weiss - Crennel reunion. We'll see the difference a few years makes in the NE football head office vs the KC football head office. That story would make for good chat on NFL Network sometime in the future.

I do agree that they took too little for Moss though. What was it a 3rd?

I'd speculate that Moss is salary cap unfriendly and that cost hurts his market value (in draft picks).

I think Kansas City will make the playoffs this year, and will be strong next year.
